The popping/buzzing you mention, is it always happening either with CD or radio?
Thanks!

Pulled from my 2008 A3. PLEASE NOTE: there is some popping/buzzing going on
with this head unit. It could be a relatively cheap and inexpensive fix, but I
haven't taken it to a electronics tech. to trouble-shoot. MAKE ME AN OFFER.

Ah... nope. That would render it useless as a security code, since any thief would have the number on it. -It should have been printed on a card in the owners manual, if it's the original unit which came with the car.

take the unit and vin of original car to a dealer they can get you the code (some want to see proof of ownership for the car as well)

Twenty dallah...?
Mad low-price offer I know, but I don't feel optimistic about the popping/buzzing etc.
