7 days and I'm the first to reply....OUCH Life long fan here, I bleed burgundy. It's been a rough, oh, 10 years or so, but I think we are on the right path. Shanahan has really infused the team with some younger players, and I think that it will only continue. I was very happy with the way our draft went, and am anxious to see what we do in the free agency.

Yea i am pretty excited about the draft. I am also happy about the pick up of ATOGWE. if landry stays healthy nobody will pass that secondary. I pray pray pray that we pick up nnamdi asomaua from oakland because rogers needs to go and hall and nnamdi will make a complete secondary. Excited also about the height added at wr positon but we have NOBODY that will throw to them

Asomugha would be an awesome addition, if just for the fact that he can catch the damn ball. Rogers is actually a pretty damn good lockdown corner, he breaks up a ton of passes. He just can't catch. There are a couple free agent QBs out there (Hasselbeck, Palmer) that I wouldn't complain too much about picking them up, but both are older and we will get in the same situation we always get in to. I can see the Shanahan's suffering through one more season with the Grossman/Beck duo and possibly making a big move next year for Luck. We won't really have any idea to their plans until FA starts though.

You took the words right out of my mouth with Luck...another 4 and 12 season and we will possible be able to get a good QB..our line isnt strong enough to hold sexy rexy for another season lol..beck will be a failure and shanny isnt gonna go after v young with that attitude he has. I honestly wouldnt mind giving mcnabb another shot..he is our only hope at center

that's funny tho cause both landry and atogwe are gone. Namdi was a bust in Philly. Carlos Rogers had a pro bowl season in SF. and we are now getting RGIII

  8. 04-19-2012 11:15 AM #8
I'm very disappointed about the Atogwe and Landry situation however, they both were very injury prone. Landry took a whole half a season off a few years ago for a freakin hamstring. I'm also pissed about the schedule. 3 of the first 4 games on the road. Division games don't start til week seven?? Then to make matters worse we got 3 straight division games (after the week 11 bye week) followed by the ravens? It's like wtf man we don't have a chance! They couldn't have made our schedule any tougher. I'm not happy about the schedule situation at all! RG3 will be a great addition to the offense. Hopefully Snyder and the redskins orginzation doesn't ruin the kid

Wow, the season that we've been having and nothing in this thread huh? Who else thinks RG3 should have as playing time as necessary this week?

We're on it this weekend. Just bought my Nike Elite for the game.

Seattle is favored to win by 4 points. Whether we win or not I'm glad we made it. After reading about Wilson, there no doubt about his value. This guy was a third round pick.

That said, RGIII has given more hope and has showed more enthusiasm than anyone on our team. Call me gay, but I love him. When he limped backed on the field (bad call) for two more completions to set Cousins up for a touchdown, my heart sank. This kid has a lot of heart.

Anyway, I don't discredit anyone else, Morris is amazing, Cousins looks great, they all look great for being a fairly new team.

If the Broncos and Redskins go to the Superbowl, I'd say 2013 was the best New Year!

Yes I'm glad we made it to this point. Yea Cousins and Morris have def showed their worth. I don't think Cousins is going to want be a backup much longer after showing he's got what it takes when the games on the line so maybe we'll get some good trade value out of him. Super bowl here we come!

I almost posted that as well. Cousins is a starting quarterback. He might have just beat the Browns, but he did prove his worth during the last minute and a half during the Baltimore game.

Until midnight, you can get 20% off all merchandise from the Redskins store, it must be $100 or more.

    Promo Code: WILD18

An Elite at $250 ended up being about $223. A little over 10% off realistically.

No problem and no, I have not. I imagine there are a ton of counterfeits, some OK, and some good. Honestly, I might try and pick one up in Denver or something because when I thought it would be here Friday, FedEx said the 7th! I really wanted to show support for my team. At our local sports bar, only myself and another guy were cheering for Washington. The other 100 people were for Dallas.

It actually got pretty crazy. This way I can show support, people know who my team is, and i can keep quiet, etc. Hopefully it will be a great turnout since Washington (state) isn't too far. I'm really excited about this game, two rookies, new teams, should be really exciting and close.

I've got a few jerseys and if I'm home and out at a bar watching the game, I'm usually at my job and there are plenty of skins fans that work there including almost all the bartenders that actually care about football..... Kinda lame you won't be getting your jersey in time though

I'm really surprised that only a few people have replied in here. Guess we're pretty good fans because I'm about as excited as Joe Gibbs first tenure, except I'm older now and will remember it for years. I was a little too young during their prime.

He came off early...and they put him back in...this is also after the doctor stated that he has never cleared RG3 to play and is on the verge of a nervous breakdown every time he hits the field.

Hopefully he comes back but he was bouncing around on a bunk knee for such a long time and it looks like everything finally decided to break.

Well i was saying he should've been pulled after he tweaked it again in the 2nd. The defense started slacking after the 1st quarter too. Sons of bitches! O well 7 game run to get us to our first playoff game in 13 years and 1st in the NFC east. Gotta be proud of the redskins and the rookies that came in here and helped us rise up out of the slump we were in. Next year boys next year.....

It's the standard problem with running quarterbacks. They're a potent weapon but they're pretty useless when they're injured.

IMO it's the Redskin organization to blame, yes RG3 wanted to play and said he was fine but when the doctor comes out saying that he never cleared him to play the team should have sat him down. They have a franchise changing player and should have been thinking long term, now it will be a waiting game to see how bad it will be.

Agreed. He just should've been benched. Cousins is good, we had a 14-0 lead, and Morris was still getting yards. No point possibly ruining his or our future by having him continuing to play and injure himself. Especially on those field conditions, they weren't the worst but they were tore up and not good for someone that was a tweak away from permanent damage.

We all saw the replay. Ligament graft in the next 30 days. Don't count on him to be ready to go for opening day. Not everybody heals as fast as Adrian Peterson.
