Ah, Gunner's old car! I give you credit for getting it running and not parting it out. Did you rebuild the motor? What fueling system did you use? You forgot to mention all the trophys. Any idea what price your looking for?
I used to own one of those!

Yes Its gunnars old car. I couldn't part him out too special. Gunnar had rebuilt the motor before I had gotten him. I knew he won awards with it bit I don't have any of them so I didst mention it. And honestly I'm not really sure what its worth as a whole. In parts its worth over 7k. It's just to nice to part out. Is rather just keep him.

I am glad to see that this car is still in one piece. I saw this car in its heyday in the late 90's at the VW shows. The builder did a nice job with this car. Once it left his hands and into the Gunner era is another story.
I gave the car a once over about a year ago. The owner who did not know anything about VW's could not get the car running. He told me it needed a new fuel pump. I looked at his receipts and pointed out to him that he just paid for a new fuel pump.I was really disappointed after seeing the car up close and for the first time since 2001.
The car will need some TLC. I am glad you saved this one, did not part it out, and got it running. Good luck with the sale.

Yes when Scott built it he did an awesome job. When gunnar first owned him it was still a show winner. It was all down hill free that. The po told me the same thing about the fuel pump. I got it running in a few hours after rowing it home. The car did need some tlc very dirty engine bay needed some cleaning up still does need some. And there is two spots on the roof where the clear peeled. I really can't bring myself to part it out the car is just to special. But if I don't get close to what its worth i will have too. I love the car and don't want to get did of it but never have time to drive it. I want someone to get it that will appreciate him and give it the attention it deserves.
Here's what he used to look like.

Hi there mate, could you post some more pictures of the bodywork etc? Looking to import a car the to uk and would love to bring a callway back. How is it as a daily?
Cheers, Steve
#23
I don't have any more pics right now but let me know any specific pics you want to see and ill get some. I never drove it as a daily it was only a weekend car for me.
#24
Just a few more closer pictures of each side and a whole one of the back, spare wheel tub, sills, under bonnet ones like battery tray and things really. Unless you can confirm there's no rust in these areasa few close ups of any bad bits.
Ah i only asked about it being used daily as I have no idea how fast these are for a start, and wouldnt want to daily it then get ridiculed for driving a rare car all the time instead of saving it for weekends lol
#25
The body is in very good condition. No rot at all. Few small surface spots on hood where paint chipped and one or two on passenger side fender. Rain tray is solid battery tray is solid spare Tire well is also solid. I will try and get pics tomorrow I should be out of work somewhat on time.

Will sell without the RM's for less Money. Make some offers. I want a bike

#29
No thanks... Harleys, choppers, bobbers, or cash only. Possible street bike but no junk.
