I see you have a goal but dont rush it ..... thats when things get overlooked and stuff breaks
you have great parts there and outstanding detail so far.
I planned 4 months for my turbo build ..... took 8 to have everything done like I wanted .... and then I just coudnt stop changing things even more lol .... its never ending

true I am def not trying to rush it .. when the transmission gets back, toss that on, toss the engine in the bay and start throwing parts on .. HOPING everything fits nicely
a man can dream

I think we all need to agree that once you are this deep it never stops. I started out looking to fix some paint chips.... Four years later, yeah.

this thread hasnt been updated in forever .. wanna know why?
cause nothing has happened .. hah
so after checking out a few turbo bays at h2o .. I noticed in barrys bay he has his turbo cocked down like I have mine mocked at the moment, however his charge piping goes down his driver side along the other one (because his fmic has both inlets on the same side.) mine has to go down the passenger side .. but looking at barrys fitment .. its tight there .. im not sure it can be done especially with the wastegate and downpipe going down there .. SO .. i was thinking about a spacer?
thats how its mocked at the moment, because with it cocked up, the S cover hits the exhaust manifold but maybe THIS could fix that ..
does anyone else thing this is sketchy? or is it a plausible idea?

Why don't you clock the compressor outlet so it is pointing at the head?

do you think i would be able to run piping across to the other side by doing that? its really right and my wastegate gets mounted right in that region

#99
as you can see there is not much there.

need to put the engine in the bay to figure that out. an easy way in case you havent fabricated the down pipe is flip the turbo and run it like this

keep in mind guys im running the c2 ram horn exhaust manifold not the log style like those
i already thought about the idea of flipping em backwards .. but then my downpipe would most likely need to be custom fabbed up
i just ordered a t4 flange .. extended studs .. and a big yellow tial spring .. i had a 4psi and a 14.5 psi spring .. i need a 10 then run off the mbc a lil higher..

10 psi WG spring
t4 flange im going to weld to the exhaust manifold so it sits higher and i can run the charge piping up top vs down low ..
#103
so i did a test fit on seeing if the "spacer" would help
when i looked at it I was like theres no way this is going to fit what was i thinking
but it clears .. by millimeters .. which might be sketchy
elbow coupler will obviously not remain that ridiculous size .. prob cut 4" off each end
#104
nice, it looks like you need to bolt everything in there in the right sequence otherwise some bolts might not be able to be bolted in there
