Just wondering if anyone knows any tricks to remove scratches on their car. After the last time I washed and waxed my car I notice alot of fine scratches and some nice looking scratches on my car but nothing to deep. I tried the little pen thing last year but it comes back and also tried some cream stuff from this armor all cleaning kit I have but nothing works so far. Any ideas?? Trying to get the car nice looking before this car show here locally. Thanks![]()

You might wanna try with a buffing compund lightly or maybe a claybar. Use a paint cleaner like Meguires and there polishing porducts. Thats all I use and it help remove light scratches and it also good to do so you paint keeps that glossy luster

I've had really good luck with 2 products. For light swirling and scratches I use Maguiar's Scratch X 2.0 and for deeper scratches the Quixx Paint Scratch Remover works wonders. Both are available on Amazon for much less than retail.
Good Luck!

I have had good luck with Maguiar's Scratch X 2.0 as well. You want to gauge how deep the scratches are with your fingernail. If you can basically feel your nail grabbing the edges of the scratch, its pretty deep and without some hardcore work with compounds its not going to go away that much. You never really take scratches out completely, you are just bringing the clear coat down to the same level as the scratch to make it "dissapear". In other words, be careful with any scratch removing compound and just work the area a little bit at a time so that you dont eat that clear coat up and shorten its life span. Just be patient and put some time into it and im sure youll be happy with the results.

wet sanding and buffing, but you have to be careful sand too much and you will break through your clear-coat. its a several step process. wet sand the scratch down to feather it out using 2000 or 3000 grit. next use a buffer at 1400 rpm to 1800 rpm with a rubbing compound till the shine comes back. next you can follow with a machine glaze polish to bring out a deep shine. then finish it up with a swirl remover at 1200 rpm
