    R32 engine swap FWD 02M trans. question about clutch and flywheel.

    I will be swapping in an R32 engine into my MKIV GLS Golf and will be keeping it FWD. I am not swapping in the entire AWD drive system. I already have a GTI's 02M transmission from a 2.8L 24V.

    Will the R32's clutch and flywheel work w/ that FWD 02M transmission?

    you have to use a r32 clutch with a r32 flywheel, or a 2.8 24v flywheel with an 2.8 24v clutch. you can't mix-match r32 clutch with a 24v flywheel, or a 24v clutch with an r32 flywheel. Hope this helps you! enjoy.

    Did you complete this swap and build sucessfully? Im looking to do the same in my 03 gli with a 02m transmission.
