Has anyone run this kit on their 1.8?

I bought one off a guy on the forum... says it'll handle 450tq. I only need 300tq handling so it's plenty. It's a stock weight single mass flywheel, btw. For

I really want to hear what others have to say.

    Thanks

No one yet, so here's the first.

Clutch pedal reaction is much quicker, but not difficult for stop and go daily driving. I will say it is a huge step up from stock. I almost shot out the garage when first easing out. Shifts are smooth and I can tell it will hold up to the 250hp / 270 tq i'm throwing.

I had an issue that I thought was turbo surge. Any Higher gear with rpms under 2500 and boost over 7psi would result in a surging sensation. especially up hills. This is now gone... and apparently not the turbo at all. I knew the issue was load related and thought it could be the clutch... but with how bad the turbo sounded, it seemed charge pressure was more reasonable.

The stock weight single mass flywheel makes for no change in the way it rev's however I get no chatter...yet. In fact the car is silent on the road now. Had a ton of chatter on my stock setup in first and second.

I need to break it in before I can dump first gear and see how she holds up. I'll let you know, but I suspect i'll be creaming my pants with excitement.

for this kit. Very happy... especially after 14 hours installing it (first time doing a quattro clutch).

I know its been over a year, but thanks for the review, I have been considering getting this clutch and your review just sealed the deal.

I'm so e-code that my house is wired for 230V~50Hz and has "Schutzkontakt" outlets.

They make a few different version single disk, dual disk and disk compounds designed for street use and track use make sure if you get one you get the right compound, I had to talk to a rep. It feels like the factory pedal pressure and similar engagement with 1750 ft lbs of clamp force. The clutch disk is made by Sachs who I believe is the factory clutch manufacturer for b5 Audi's (not positive though) and only the flywheel is made by Eurospecsport. I bought the clutch before I came to any Audi forums because I knew VW people who ran Eurospecsport's products and hadn't had any problems. To date the only problem I have ever found with Eurospecsport parts after much searching was the eo5 turbo which supposedly the problem has been fixed, not that I would try one, and one gti owner with a long block who had burned up some rings and scored his cylinder walls due to improper tuning and was trying to blame Eurospecsport.

Installed the clutch kit last night, it needed an axle (torn inner CV boot and I couldn't figure out how to get the knuckle off to do it) so it is not on the street yet, I had to order the axle today from worldpac so the car should be on the street soon. keeping fingers crossed

I found a eurospec sport flier that had this clutch and flywheel kit for even cheaper:

Not sure how you could order it for $400 but the flywheel alone goes for that much from some shops (it looked nice, pretty heavy) and the clutch, pressure plate, t/o bearing all looked pretty standard. Car is a 2003 A4 avant 1.8t with 200k miles, clutch that came out was OEM/VW/Audi branded and I am guessing was the original clutch.

I love this clutch, put hundreds of miles on it. Thinking about putting it in my B5
