a few oldies but goodies in the list ... sourcing some now that I've either forgotten about or never got around to watching ... be interesting to see how some of them hold up

in the meantime, watching Jo Brand's Getting On, which I'm really enjoying ... not bad for a "fat lezza"

Nice find. Reminds me to borrow the Sopranos off BIL.

In other news, we reckon Deadwood is up there with The Wire. Can't give it any higher praise than that.

Timothy Oliphant from Deadwood is in a new show called Justified which I quite enjoy. Not up to the same depth as a Sopranos et al but fun in a southern white trash way.
"excessive chassis yaw" is a $176 fine.

Just grabbed a quick ep. and it looks sound. Some good actors in the mix. Seasons 1&2 in the pipe atm. Thanks Sweaty.

What a crap ending to Game of Thrones.

"hey we've been commissioned for another season, let's not give an ending to this season"

I'm just loving it. Metadata for all shows, and being able to watch everything on the iPads, MacBooks etc is great. Plus full music distribution. And all for free.

There is supposed to be an update coming that will allow access to library management via web interface, so you won't have to connect directly to the desktop.

Interesting article about the golden decade of TV that we're in: http://www.theage.com.au/opinion/soc...007-1ld02.html

Also watched the first series of Boardwalk Empire in recent days. Slow to start and ultimately not a patch on The Wire and Deadwood, but nonetheless well worth watching.

New series of Wheeler Dealers is out, with two episodes released so far.

This time, they are buying cars from US.
