I'd be happy to work up some coupe culture decals if you guys would be willing to buy them. Just let me know and I'll get to work on the artwork. Hell, maybe I'll even put together a shirt to match.

Start posting up your best pics of your coupes and I'll pick the one I like the best and use that as the basis for the illustration.

Get me some good pics of it (kieran@diversedesign.com). I think a MK1 and MK2, together on the shirt, would be cool since those were the only two generations that had them. I've got access to a MK2 coupe, but if anybody else wants to submit a pic of theirs please do.

Near-western burbs of Chicago. Glad someone commented on it. It gets ignored in the MK1 forum...I don't believe in coilovers

    Sorry for the delay.

I am in The fox valley area and have a 84 2D diesel. 86 ABA hybrid, and My buddy is building a mid engine VR MK3. PAssenger side is done.

Drivers side will be after the motor is finished.

    Coupes rule.

84' alpine white coupe. If you look at pics from DIV from last August, you will see it. I took 2nd in the mk1 jetta class. Was running a stock 1.7 with autotragic! Doing a Bynum built 16V swat with 5 speed swap over the winter. Working on the bay shave right now... what a pain in the arse!

Shaved bays are a pain but look sweet in the end. Mine took almost a year to get it the way I wanted. I suggest a few different styles of wire wheels, the braided wire ones work the best for the seam sealer, and lots of good beer! I also did a full rewire on the car too which took some time to complete as well. Corrado dash swap, custom gauge cluster, lots of custom machined parts for the motor too. All in all it's been close to three Years since the car has seen the road but totally worth it in the end!
If you need any advice or have any questions hit me up and good luck with everything.

Here's my 87 Jetta Coupe that I picked up on the 27th of November. Currently trying to find a place to repaint it for obvious reasons lol. It will be getting a 2.0 16v with AutoTech cams in the spring hopefully.
