      2000 Jetta GL 2.0 Manual

Battery unplugged for about a month and a half while car gets repainted and engine rebuilt.

Everything worked before putting her down.

Upon reconnection of the battery, we get absolutely no communication from the ECM, lots of codes in the cluster (oil level sensor code is due to european MFI cluster in a NA car), and when trying to start the car, the immobilizer kicks it back off (and flashes the immobilizer light quickly) and the cluster comes back with 9 error codes. The 3 codes not shown below are all related to the immobilizer.

We do have the SKC, but when I try to enter it (preceeded by a 0 of course), the log in screen disappears. I access channel 21 to program the key we have, and it does not let us test it but we can save it. So I shut off the ignition per the instructions and start her back up, and the immobilizer kicks it back off.

I'm lost. Where do I go from here?

By the way, all the codes present in 35 and 56 have been there WAY before this episode.

Of course, all help is much appreciated.

Your missing com on the W Can. This is why the ecu is shutting you down when it doesnt see the control packet to authorize the engine ecu.

Check W-Can High and Low using wiring diagrams.

It is most likely not a immobilizer issue but a result of a harness, bad cluster, or bad engine ecu.

Check grounds and B+ to the ecu and relays to supply power.

And most of all the FUSES.

I can help you with a Immo delete if you get cornered with proper documents submitted.
Since you have your SKC you could always try a 050 however if you don't have K line com its probably not that.

      Let me know,

Jack he has 2000 model so channel 50 will not work on this car.
Most likely your ECU is not getting powered.
I think you have burn fuse . Check is you main relay getting 12V and sending to ECU.Also check all fuses .

      Yes correct I'm sorry.

      IMMO2

Try this then 17-10-00 and save.

I still think its a fuse or wire.
