Woohoo, the eagle has landed! Looks brilliant John! Thanks so much for taking time to go take pics for me! Isn't it funny that I've sat in your 1M and you have sat in my Polo, and neither of us have seen our own cars haha. How did I end up buying a car from your VW dealership and you buying a BMW from my dealership? As for the title, don't laugh. Our Golf GTI was the one car I have kept the longest!!! It was like 20 months or something right Shauno?

Matty, picture good enough for ya or do we have to send John back again?

Remind me again who is picking this car up from you mate in a couple of months/weeks?

Nice city car though, it'll be a hoot.

      You're buying Way's polo?

In other news... did Black/Reefon Spur and Lake Mountain on the weekend... had an absolute hoot in the previous model polo

My folks collected a 77TSI last week - red with the factory body kit and 17" rims. It's a pretty awesome car for the ~$25k that it cost. The GTI should be great!

I have a question actually. I went on Internet banking and transferred the money yesterday when I got the call from the dealer that the car is ready. Now, question is, who owns the car now? The car is yet in my hands, and will be trucked down. So, do I need insurance? Question is when the car becomes mine from an ownership perspective. If it is mine now I better make a couple of phone calls to get insurance!

I'm only a layman in on this topic, but surely ownership is about signing the paperwork, rather than just paying?

You are right, I've had cars shipped from an interstate dealer before, twice in fact, but both times I had interstate addresses so I bought them registered. I thought that when we sign the papers during delivery, it is for registration? I have never paid attention clearly lol. The dealer did issue me an invoice yesterday on my request, which showed $0 owing on the car, so maybe that constitute the completion of the deal? I need a contract lawyer here lol.

Wake up Wayne. Do you think the dealer's going to ante up if the transporter drops the car on it's head.

I bet a million his response would be "oh well, lucky your insurance covers it".

      You've been told once already.

      Get a cover note!

      STAT!

PS: Anyone got dibs on those horrid rims yet. I can ease your embarressmentia and take them of your hands if no-one has
