good build thread. I am definitely following this. The attention to detail is above and beyond.
One question though, what are the benefits to the o2j cables/box swap over the o2a stuff?

I was stoked, first show first win put a huge smile on my face. I think the interior and new engine bay will put me that much forward.

It looks really good. Do you have any videos of some pulls? I wonder what you're putting down power wise. Probably around 120-125 whp or so.

An upgraded rear mount (.5 or above) on an ABA causes a lot of unwanted vibrations.
I might just move to the stealth rear mount too.

Yeah what AJ said...i had the .5 in the rear on previous cars and it was unreal especially with the AC on. My dash rattled like crazy.... With this combo it still feels almost stock yet there is still no engine movement which is awesome.

nice, how do you like them?
I really liked my Continental Conti Sport 2's.
      Just can't find them anymore.
I'm thinking about picking up the ones you have but in 195/40/17

honestly i love them, they're my second set. I had the Yoko's mounted on the Type C's i had ealier on before one got destroyed. Wear is good and sidewall flex is minimal, so i have slight stretch yet the car actually still handles very well being this low.

      Ok so some updates:

Started yanking the old shift tower.

      Out

      I see you.

02J shift tower installed & sealed.

      Pulled the cat

Pulling the old shift box assembly.

Easy out - Shift box with B&M short shifter is for sale BTW.

You have to mod the 02J shift box to fit, here is what i did.

      Cables attached & aligned.

      All done

The 02J shift tower as you can see has a different reverse light switch, so i made my own adapter. I had an old broken 02A reverse light switch so i cut it up.

Then i had an extra connector from a recent brake job i did that fits the 02J reverse light switch perfect.

      Hooked

      A bit of solder

      Taped up

      Heavy duty hot glue.

By this point I forgot to take more progress pictures.... i was on a roll but this is the final result.

      Hooked up & DONE

      GREAT SUCCESS

      Her stamp of approval

Seriously this swap is nothing less than amazing shifting wise. SO precise and EASY, im obsessed.

I was lucky to get it for $1500 honestly, guy i bought it from was asking $2500 and barely spoke English I talked him down because of an oil filter housing leak which i greatly blew out of proportion . He needed the money to replace the trans in his wifes CRV so he settled for $1500 once i pulled it out of my pocket.
