Which specific 194s did you use in your Jetta (please include link to website) for the city/parking bulb? I ordered some 194s (http://www.hidxenonlights.com/led-ca...ror-free-p-712) that I am using for my license plate lights and I decided to pop one out and try it in the bulb holder for the city/parking light and it didn't fit. Even though it's a wedge-type bulb, the base is too thick for this particular bulb holder. Any guidance you can provide it appreciated.

Ebay. Find a USA seller and you can get bulbs to your door in less then a week. Search 194 5 SMD LED

1156 x6 (eb stores)
194/t10 x5 (metapark)
39Mm festoon x4 (metapark)
44mm festoon x1 (metapark)
ba15s x2 (metapark)
Ba15s x2 (super bright leds)

The last ba15s I put in might be the culprit. It wasn't clicking in like I would expect. I might order another pair from super bright as they are local to me.

I am guessing inner running and reverse lights. If that is the case, then absolutely the cause.

fwiw, for the 2 door MK6 Golf

you'll need - 8 (eight) 194 Wedge Based LED.

2 - front map lights
2 - foot well lights
1 - glove box
2 - rear dome map lights
1 - rear dome light

Thank you sir for the info. This thread however was not a generic Mk6 platform thread, it was geared towards the Jetta6 only, that is why there was no Golf or JSW info posted.

Exactly as documented. I used the super bright leds first. Will probably order more as they are local and reasonably priced.

Oh, the super bright are on the interior, the metapark bulbs are on the outer housings.

thumbs up.. thanks for a great guide. just what I was looking for. planning on replacing all bulbs with LEDs.

heads and fogs, I'm going to try the Philips Crystal Vision Ultra. Love the look of HIDs, but if i do them again, i think I may retrofit projectors... unsure at this point.. but thanks!!!

Hey JB i just installed some hids in my highbeam location on my mk6 jetta and now i got a highbeam indicator on any time the light switch is on...All lights work as they should hids dont flicker and fire fine lows still work good just the indicator is stuck on.

Will the error code eliminators fix this issue? will it do it when i install some in the low beam location to ??

I know about model, but I like to know the type:
Just like, a LED light with 24 leds, or with 36, or if is better to put a HID Philips or Osram ... etc ...
If someone has a advice, this will be very welcome !

Swapped out interior, trunk, license plate and drl LEDs, everything was easy but the drl's, need to have skinny hands! What a pain, but is finally done!

Btw, if I turn the car off and back on again, the indicator goes off.

The fog lighs is not canbus, right ?

4. Turn Signal = 7507 (NO BULB REPLACEMENT AT THE MOMENT)
5. City Light = 194
6. Side Marker = 194 (CANBUS REQUIRED)

this might be a dumb question but HOW do you change the drl ?

would i have to take out the whole headlight assembly and change it or could i just do it in the engine bay ?

what kind of equipment would i need ?
