i'm not sayin.. i'm just sayin, your not the only one with access to this information. just because we have the same doc doesnt mean i got it from you. as i said before, soon as i get a different diagram per vw i will post it as i have read this current document is not 100% accurate to each vehicle model

I just replaced my glove box light with led one and its a nice white but it has blue spots coming off of it so im not sure if its the lense or the bulb itself none of my other lights have that issue

GLI owners: Have you been successful with a certain DRL LED build that isn't burning out or throwing any errors after some time using it? I wanna make sure when I put in my Silverstars I can put in the new DRL without having to mess with the lights again!

    Suggestions are welcome... Thanks!

I'm using these from ddm tuning 1156 18 x 5050 LED, White but I've only had them in for a few days no issues. The drl are easy to install took all of 5 mins. Just undo the large cover stick one hand in while looking at the light make sure your on it and twist it out.

What diagram are you referring to?! There is no fuse card for each car anymore.

Has anyone tried the streetglow 1156 led taillamp bulb? It has a two year warranty and is available from napa for 16.00 each. Part number is BK SGL1156WH. since these seem to be for a taillamp purpose i dont think over heating issues should be a concern.

I went with the napa bulbs and wow are they bright, I will post pictures here soon. Was doubtful about these but they appear as bright as any of the other LED DRL bulbs I've seen on here. And have a good warranty with a brand name that's been around.

Yes they are classified as a taillight 1156, but all that means is they are designed to run for extended time vs a bulb meant for signal purposes. No codes but I think I read somewhere that the drl bulbs don't need a Canbus style led. But here they are let me know what you all think. If one should burn out I can simply remove it (2year warranty) take to the local napa and have it replaced, no waiting on snail mail Internet bulbs

so they don't throw error codes or flickering?

how long have you had them on for?

Thinking bout getting some today. I've bad luck with other ones, flickering and throwing error codes.

I'm hoping the ones you have on will work longer and wont burn out.

No flickering no codes. Had on since last night, sat and watched them for a while once installed. Repeatedly checking after each drive for flickering or heat issues, so far so good. They are a lot brighter than they seem by looking at the bulb design

Sweet! I just ordered them and picking them up tomorrow at the store.

    I'll give them a shot!

I would hate to pay so much for those V-LEDs $50 bucks for a pair.

heard good reviews but most GLI users have them and plus the wiring are different from my TDI.

Tell them they have burned out leds, that is crap we use napa as a wholesale supplier. Talk to the manager if you have no luck let me know the store number where you purchased them and I will talk with the manager.

I've been talking with auto limitation and they recommend the Cree 5w 1156 just need to decide between the spot light or wide angle projection style

    Scratch that
This should work best as a DRL 10watt Cree led super bright, super wide angle

While I had my airbox out today installing my short shifter, I tried out the CANBUS 194's I picked up from superbrightleds.com.

    http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...ini-wedge.html

I had high hopes since they were available in natural white (in between cool and warm) and were only $6 each. They worked and looked great, but triggered a dreaded "check left front side light". Oh well. Worth a shot. I may just have to get the VCDS software and disable this crap.
