i'm not sayin.. i'm just sayin, your not the only one with access to this information. just because we have the same doc doesnt mean i got it from you. as i said before, soon as i get a different diagram per vw i will post it as i have read this current document is not 100% accurate to each vehicle model

GLI owners: Have you been successful with a certain DRL LED build that isn't burning out or throwing any errors after some time using it? I wanna make sure when I put in my Silverstars I can put in the new DRL without having to mess with the lights again!
Suggestions are welcome... Thanks!

Has anyone tried the streetglow 1156 led taillamp bulb? It has a two year warranty and is available from napa for 16.00 each. Part number is BK SGL1156WH. since these seem to be for a taillamp purpose i dont think over heating issues should be a concern.

I went with the napa bulbs and wow are they bright, I will post pictures here soon. Was doubtful about these but they appear as bright as any of the other LED DRL bulbs I've seen on here. And have a good warranty with a brand name that's been around.

Yes they are classified as a taillight 1156, but all that means is they are designed to run for extended time vs a bulb meant for signal purposes. No codes but I think I read somewhere that the drl bulbs don't need a Canbus style led. But here they are let me know what you all think. If one should burn out I can simply remove it (2year warranty) take to the local napa and have it replaced, no waiting on snail mail Internet bulbs

this is the other one i was looking at from superbrightleds but they are 25.00 each plus shipping
Basically 30.00 or 50.00 plus shipping. Both seem pretty bright

While I had my airbox out today installing my short shifter, I tried out the CANBUS 194's I picked up from superbrightleds.com.

I had high hopes since they were available in natural white (in between cool and warm) and were only $6 each. They worked and looked great, but triggered a dreaded "check left front side light". Oh well. Worth a shot. I may just have to get the VCDS software and disable this crap.
