could that be because most of the gays that are going out are the young, juvenile, gossipy, queeny, limp wristed, double fisted, ghetto fab, high drama laden biggots?! If so, then that certainly drives me away from their drama and any other "normal" type person would too. They provide entertainment, but it's just too much all the time. So if that's where they are, the good ones are somewhere else and need to be searched and rescued.

You pretty much just summed up my friends lol. They can be fun but there are times I go out by myself b/c I don't want to be 'trapped' when they get into it. Always have an exit plan.

I've found even the beefy masculine guys are all caught up in it too. It's weird but even at a packed bar you can feel alone. That only happens on one of my introspective nights when I'm kind of a wallflower. Usually, I'm a floater and talk to almost everyone.

On a side note, I've noticed that if I see someone at the bar I can always find them on my 'People you might know' list on facebook. Chances are I already have 10+ friends in common. Stalker Level = Expert

haha! I'm in a hate the world kind of mood today. I have only ever gone to a club/bar alone 2 times in my life (*granted I'm 26... errr I mean 21 biyches*). It was actually to Mirabar in Providence while I was in college. haha. I sat at the bar alone with my Vodka Sprite. The lovely drag queen Ms. Kitty Litter scoots down from the end of the bar and parks herself right next to me. Buys my next drink and then proceeds to serenade me with her next routine. Needless to say, everyone was looking at me. I was embarrassed and buzzed. But since I was in a sulking hate life moment, I cheers her, let her finish the song, tipped the biych, kissed her hand and left.

The other time was because my friends left me in their drunken stupor and I had to find them. Walked in alone, but was on a mission, so it wasn't weird.

I just can't get the courage to walk into a gay bar alone to have a good time.

Yes, we're open. But it gets closed when need be, the relationship (ahem) comes first. And we have had threesomes but not with another guy, at least yet (and frankly, they are a lot of work). Lately, I've been working, doing house improvement/maintenance/chores in an effort to get us ready to move that I haven't slept with a guy in about a year. Which blows, but then I remember that I've slept with all the guys I found attractive in this town.... this isn't to say that I'm not satisified, we have a phenomenal sex life, even after 15 years.

Funny enough, my wife just visited Savannah, Charlotte and Columbia last week and declared that she found ALL of my type. I think I see a road trip in my future.

Hahaha, well, I have them. They're just not as great as I'd like despite my gym efforts. Unfortunately multiple major abdominal surgeries makes it difficult, but damn it I'm working on it!

You do indeed have me identified as the right person -- I posted a lot in M&I my senior year of college (West Virginia) when I was trying to get all my finances in line. Now I just make money and don't spend it (save the GTI) so my postings have died down. Plus having a time consuming job and all...

it's really a shame more hetero's don't come into this thread and read it.

it does really show just how much gays and straights are the same....same personal/relationship issues, same likes (cars, shows, movies, good food, etc).

if more of us hetero's would just ufcking stop, listen and understand, then maybe the would see we are all not different.

I've been thinking the same thing for a few hundred pages. I don't understand the "them" attitude that many straight people have towards gay people. Love is love and relationships are relationships. The exact combination of "wee-wees" and "hoo-haas"* involved simply doesn't change that. God, I could go on a ridiculously long rant but everyone here obviously already gets it, lol.

*I chose juvenile terms because the argument against equality is really quite juvenile, but also can we even use the correct anatomical terms here or are they filtered?

Even though it irritates me greatly that the rights of a minority are subjected to a vote of the majority, I will nevertheless happily and proudly vote FOR Question 6 in Maryland next month to uphold the marriage equality law our state legislature passed in February but the bigots successfully put on the ballot for referral before the law could take effect Jan 1. Four states are voting on equality or efforts to stop equality. Anyone in Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, and Washington, do the right thing at the polls. I'll step off my soapbox now.
