I pre-ordered mine from Crutchfield today. Anybody else jumping in with both feet?
I'll be posting an install thread when it comes.

Z130BT is sweet. I wasn't looking to spend that much. I was originally thinking RCD-510, but this is around the same $ and I do want to leverage all the stuff on my phone. It'll let me clean up the interior, but not having my Garmin up on the dash, too. It was $399 at Crutchfield and that was kinda hard to pass up!

I gotta say, I love this head unit! You can't beat it at the price if you already have an iPhone 4.
The MotionX GPS Drive and INRIX Traffic are really sweet on the 6.1" display and as nice as the Pandora and Rdio apps on the big screen are, I'm glad that the audio passes through from any app so I can use Slacker Radio even though it doesn't have an official AppRadio interface yet.
The install was as straight forward as any other double DIN head unit into a Mk V. The only gotcha was I didn't realize that the PAC interface signal for the parking brake was speed based which led to me wasting some time figuring it what the issue was there. I couldn't get the AppRadio to work with the relay-based brake bypass that previous Pioneer units could. I think that's because it needs to see the parking brake on, off and then on again before it will unlock video on the screen, so I just left it running of the PAC interface parking brake signal.
If anybody wants more details on the AppRadio you should follow the updates over at AppRadio Central

yeah i grabbed the first gen because I didn't see any info saying they updated the chip on the appradio2. It has a bigger screen but the same resolution so it won't look as nicealso i don't mind that the first gen has only one output since I would probably only add a sub. also I don't have android so the iphone only part isn't bad.
nice thing about version 1 is that you can program the steering wheel buttons, which according to their website you won't be able to do with iteration 2

I'm thinking of getting the Appradio 2, but i was wondering if the Bluetooth on the GTI mk6 has anything to do with the stock radio? if I get the Appradio will I be able to use the OEM Bluetooth in the same way I'm using it now?
Thanks,
