Yeh, yeah...It's old, I know. I'll be taking a trip and it's one of the few games that the computer I'm taking will run. I can't get the profile to save though.

    bump...

Wow, I just downloaded the UT2004 demo to see if my old (extra) PC would play Thief: Deadly Shadows since that game uses the Unreal 2 engine (which UT2004 is based), and I just pwnd everybody... it was awesome (I won every match I played, even my first.. with full rooms). And this game is quite fun if you like crazy deathmatch type gameplay.

My old PC=: P4 3.06 HT, 512 MB X1550 PCI card, 1.25 GB ram, Windows XP.
And the game runs incredibly smooth/fast on my 1080p monitor. (shrug)
    A big wtf.
I guess these older online games had to be designed to run at low spec due to the bandwidth back then.

    EDIT..

I just played again and it was the same people playing in the quick actions room (and I pwnd them even worse this time).
So.. I might be playing some not really gaming people stuck with this game because of bandwidth and PC specs (and game price).
    Sigh...

I still play the classic UT. I think you can pick it up for $5 on Steam.

I read that the demo rooms have real people, but the regular rooms are actually full of bots.

And I /think/ I can tell bots from real players.
Bots play using some form of logic....

One guy would just stand in the corner and shoot.

And this old PC with a PCI graphics cars runs this game at a very high fps rate on my 1080p monitor. That was unexpected.

Hmm.. time to download the Doom 3 demo just for gits and shiggles (my newer pc won't play it since it won't run in Windows 7).

    UPDATE...
    They were all bots.

I got in a team deathmatch room(server) in "experienced" with real players and got pwnd over and over and over and over.

    sigh.

    It was still fun tho.

I have DOOM 3 (steam ver.) and it will run on Windows 7. Some tweaking is required for HD resolutions. Google it
