Trying to get my 79 rabbit road worthy... Just curious if theres anybody that is familliar with wiring the old vw's around the alderwood mall area. It's sitting in my garage and I just need some help/direction on what I need to do next. I dont really want to take it to a shop right away, cuz I don't have the cash for $80+ for someone to look at it. But if there's anybody out there who wants to crack a beer and see what im working with let me know.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

mk1's are actually really easy, being they are mostly mechanical. atleast your not doing a ABA swap, thats something to stay away from if wires scare you.
if its broken, fix it. then break it again.

I was reading a thread you commented on about rewiring for the aba swap. I am rewiring the entire car and was wondering what area I should watch out for when refering to the bently for diagrams so I dont rewire something I shouldn't or so I can rewire it the way it needs to be rewired for the aba if you have a thread or reference that would Id appreciate it 4058632044

If nothing else I could meet with you and your Bentley to explain what you are looking at. I am close to the mall and have experience in this area.
