Hi, my name is Michael and I would like to show you my b5
It's got KW INOX V2 coilover kit, polished 18" monoblocks , RS4 grille, and tuned TDI engine with few custom parts.

The day I brought it home

    Meanwhile looked so:

    ...and later like that

    and finally:

What's that button to the left of your steering wheel on the kick panel? Headlight leveling? I never knew B5's had that..

front bumper? I'm looking for bumper with headlight washers

    something like that:

You say 'do some trading' - but biggest problem is transport, it wouldn't be cheap

99% of our bumpers have squirters... but the difference is, you have a bodyline in your bumper and your washer caps are flush.. our washer caps stick up ontop of the bumper and we dont have body lines in our bumpers.

transport would suck.. but its in the 100-150 range i believe for a bumper...

if someone overseas was serious.. i'd get a serious quote on trading stuff.. and it depends where you are.. a guy on here from Austria wanted to trade headlights with me, but they were 175 just to ship headlights to him, plus the $$ he wanted on top. really wasnt worth it at that point.
    Who knows...

    What CD player is that?

Please tell us more about what you've done to the engine.

A4s sold in Sweden had those headlights washers with facelift bumpers having the flush kind. Just so you know where to look if you really want one.

it's unviable in my opinion... cost of transport killing everything

Stock 1,9TDI engine got 110hp... Now I've got 175, but it's not enough

    Modyfications:
    -bigger turbo from 2.0 TDI
    -FMIC
-efficient injectors 0,230 (stock is 0,205)
    -remap
    -new clutch

Turbo is from 2.0 TDI 170bhp (BRD code engine), it's P&P in principle. You need only new seal (gasket-i don't know word), even exhaust and exhaust manifold fits. Pipes and whole intercooler system is custom. I've changed also intake manifold, it's from 130bhp TDI engine (code AWX).

Injectors are from my stock engine, but they're customized. It's hybrid - body of injector is stock, but tip was changed from 0,205 to 0,230 diameter. Of course pressure was changed too.

German company BOSCH makes that injector tips.

I wanna convert mine to a TDi!

And I'm with everyone else, I'd do some trading over seas and cover shipping. Worth it to me! However, it'd be much harder because I've seen little to no pelican blue cars, so I'd literally be having to paint anything I swap

sorry for all the questions!! so the turbo is a bv43?? would it run good with injectors from a pd150?? this must be real nice to drive, its a nice feeling to pull away quietly and quickly from 50mph with a torquey diesel, hardly having to change gears....are you going adding a water-meth
injection??? what kind of change did you notice in fuel consumption?? is exhaust noticably smokey?? do you have and c02 emmisions tests where you live??

no no, it's KKK turbo 03G145702H

I've got AFN/AVG engine - it hasn't got PD injectors. There is separately high pressure injection pump and injectors. Do You know what I mean?

Water-meth injection is not popular in my country... honestly it's used in really forced TDI engines, about 200+ bhp.

fuel consumption is about 7-9 liters per 100km, before mods was 5-7

smokey? it's diesel no fire without smoke
seriously doesn't smoke much - normal level

emmision tests is not a problem, diagnostician usually checking smoke behind car, not testing c02 level - they're lazy

  23. 06-27-2011 06:08 PM #23
no i get you, i knew they switched back from the pd engine to cr but im lost as to which models have which now. same size engines ,similar outputs available ,different systems....thanks for the clarity.

B5 general has 2 types of TDI engine:
-VP pomp - like my AVG 110bhp
    -PD injectors - AJM 115bhp

B6 has only 1 type of TDI - PD (105-130bhp)

B7 has PD TDI, and new CR TDI, but I don't know which is which

of course I'm talking about 1,9 and 2,0 engines

Not only are they great for cleaning your headlights, headlight washers are also the quickest way to ruin a freshly washed car!
