Saving up to get the 2.5T kit, the entry level once it releases in the end of July. Looking through all my options and such and I'm pretty set on getting this turbo kit. Have a general question. How would this work as a daily driver, a MKV Jetta 2.5T. I know it'll be a little too much stress on the engine but I've been reading that its uncommon. Help me out here

I have a 2.5 as well and i want to get the same kit in the future (with a strong emphasis on future lol). I have heard that you shouldn't get a turbo if u have DSG, which is what I have. Is this true? and have u heard of anyone running a turbo with DSG?

Just so you know, you do not have DSG, you have tiptronic. None of the 2.5s had DSG as an option.

As for people with turbo and DSG, yeah lots of people, R32 guys with turbo kits, GTI/GLI guys

i personally DONT recommend turboing an automatic... its just such a waste.

with an auto you have zero feeling of the car.

That and there are no tunes for the 6sp Tip, so don't matter what you do for ECU and power, the tip is the weak point, and will shift when it wants to anyways.

Either way, I have 84,000 miles on my car, 25k have been with the turbo. It's my daily, and has had no issues.
      Thanks!

I wish I had DSG, shifts so damn fast depending on setup, you get almost no boost lag during shifts Cant wait for r32

Now with a tip you are wasting your time. Mind as well upgrade the trans first, then boost it, and as far as mileage Skaffles you will be fine
