If you need help with signs, let me know! We have connections with graphics companies if you're looking for big stuff and even little stuff.

Yes, I was in a CC. It's a Passat. Passat CC is the real name for it. So, I def should have been in the Passat class.

Deff make R32 its own class even if you make it mk4/mk5 together. There were a good amount of mk4 R32s out there. Id say about 10 or so plus mk5s great show tho

Great show and awesome weather. I would change the vendor area, don't put it so far away from the rest of the show

where would you put the vendor area?? theres no other place for them, the show field is FULL as it is and they are right along the whole west side of the filed. ideas?

CC/passat...sorry, guess they should have known. since theres new passats AND CC i guess they figured it was a differnt car.

adding 3rd place and adding a bunch of other classes WILL add cost to the show, then making people complain about cost. we will not make a class for cars that only 2 show up, beetle sorry. R32 MAYBE but not sure.
the issue is the awards cost a TON of money and i will not down grade to coolness or quaility just to give out more.

SO, i'm stuck a bit...add classes and a 3rd place AND raise show entery fee or stay the same and add maybe one or two more classes but still keep 1st/2nd only and keep show entry the same?? see, if i add 3rd place and a few more classes, thats 20+/- awards more at ave of $65-$85 A PIECE.(yes the awards cost that much) making the cost to add classes about $1300 to $1700 MORE to the cost of the show...making us having to raise the cost of the entry fee....

see what my issues are? YES 100% YES i want to make the show great for everyone and meet all your request and needs but i have to figure out whats best.

thanks for the input so far, we will look at EVERYTHING and consider it all closely for next year. thats a promise!

I think people just want an extra shot at an award ; I say keep it at 1st and 2nd and give em their shot by evening out some of the huge classes (e.g. all R32 for mk4 and mk5 was a good idea, make sure you have the numbers for it though!). or 3rd place/runner up gets a bag of VW-shaped sugar cookies

i'll most likely add a ALL R32 class and a mk2 jetta class. next year. but the 3rd place adding will cost so much....guessing no to that still. i haven't raised prices to the show for 5 years, don't want to start now if i can.
its always been $15 to show. $1 to park. the park said they may raise my "cost per car" payment next year cause of being so big. so it MAY go to $15 to show and $2-$3 to park BUT no entry fee still.

You can get an idea of the numbers in each class by having people register online a couple of weeks before the show. That way, you can see if you can seperate classes.

Keep the awards for only 1st and 2nd. The quality of the awards at classic are hands down the best of any show. The effort and creativity you guys put into the awards should not be compromised.

josh, i think we had 5 allied waste trash cans...need probably 15 total...10 on the show field, and 5 around the perimeter. we were able to use some of the regular trash cans around the ball field but those can be extra.

try to see if tim can remember how many burgers/dogs we purchased for the day. it's good that bj's is around the corner but we should plan a refill trip once we are down to 2 boxes of burgers and 1 pack of cheese. the big grill idea worked well in addition to a hot dog only grill. more gatorade (i believe it sold out). we had a ton of more help in the food dept, though james was grilling his ass off all day. we had about 2-3 people prepping the food and plating them. that worked well.

i think keep it 1st and 2nd place. cult classic isn't an award driven show, and i don't want to see it turn out that way. it's all about relaxing and enjoying the day. what makes cc unique is the one of a kind awards and not some cheap $2 trophy. those who get an award, deserve to win. especially since it is peer based.

more shirts definitely, especially XXL. or at least one xxl for bill!

i agree with the activities being closer like the dunk tank. it could've been placed on the other side of the building where the food was for more traffic.

probably another porta potty would be good and a sign for people to not pee on the toilet seat...how old are we...12? the ladies need to sit or hover

oh and ban the guy shooting marshmellows and gummy bears

I got there around 12pm and went right into the parking lot, sign said 1$ park or whatever and had a chair there but no one was sitting in it! I hesitated for a minute, we talked among the vehicle and rolled in.
    I feel bad, but got a t-shirt

I would say overall, great show. Just improve parking, maybe charge 2$ to park especially since it doubled this year... i'm sure people won't complain about that! & Keep someone posted there to charge to come in. If people want to leave and come back, stamp their hands?! That's what VAG Fair does.
Gotta support to keep it a good show

Awesome show my parents really enjoyed it too. I would stick with 1st and 2nd like you said so that way you can keep having beautiful trophies. It'd be cool to break 500 show cars next year but I'm not sure how many more cars that field can fit.

Also do you guys have any extra T-shirts? A friend of mine wanted one but I forget to get one for him.

more trash cans is a must. may rent another port-o-potty. thier were 5 bathrooms there tho, just need better signs i guess.

food is tim's job, he did great but i think we all didn't expect the huge growth! we will be setup for larger attendence next year for sure!

i'll get bill a XXL shirt haha

more shirts- yes, things is, last year we had 85 extra...this year we sold out AND sold the left overs!!! crazy.

parking after 12, after registeration ended we didn't charge for parking.
we most likley will charge $2 for parking next year, yes yes i'm raiseing the prices hahaa

we will stick with 1st and 2nd, but my add 1-2 more classes. we will see.

I won 2nd place for GTI/Golf. Which was cool and I love the plaque it looks awesome in my car. The only issue is my car is a jetta Not your fault I guess that means enough people wrote my number in the wrong space. I tried to let the guy who gave me the award know but it was real loud. I appriciate the win I just feel bad for the GTI or golf that missed out.

That figures dude. If I was close to him I'd have urged him to move. Did anyone try and tell/ask him to move? I'd have drawn him a little map to "rest of the world" section if I were you.

no apology necessary it was clearly voter error. You guys provided several easy to understand indications of which class each car was in. people just missed them I guess. a free pencil could be a cool way to ensure people fill them out as they go. i know a lot of people couldn't find one and had to vote last minute. mabye a large warning on top for slow people to fill them out correctly Either way great show I had a blast and will defiantly be attending next year

No, no, it's not their fault. I was told that they had merged together the Passat and All Euro class due to a lack of turnout for Passats. Hence why the white Rline was also in All Euro. It was just confusing. Charity even thought my car was a Jetta. Haha.

    Hey Josh and crew:
The show was off the hook for one! I was there representing the Air-Cooled crew. I won a Second Place and The Coveted Ladies Choice with my 1967 Camper!! Really Cool!! The Set-up and the 1st and 2nd place awards are just fine. They are beautiful by the way. This show isn't about the awards, but( Some SERIOUSLY NICE Cars) with a whole bunch of car freaks drooling over each others machines. That is what makes it cool. My son who is 21 went with me and commented on how really cool and laid back everyone was compared to the Honda Crowd that he goes to see. Food was really good and priced really well. Maybe a few more signs for the pottys but. can't think of a nicer show than the CC. Great job and will be back next year for more!!

Sweet I could prolly make VW shaped cookies since I'm a pastry chef.... And yea there's no point in adding a beetle class, beetle drivers never show up, no offense, but I was confused on what category to enter...the girl that registered me was unsure either since I was a mk4 beetle but yet I was a convertible, so she suggested the convertible class and I said ok....so yea to make a long story short sorry if I was in the wrong category I didn't mean to piss off the cabrios.. But yea it was super fun again this year

Just an idea, since each show afte the the winners are called unless you know the person and or the car you never know what cars win so instead maybe the winners can pull up their cars into an empty area of the field ( room permiting ) and display the winners for pictures and what not... i know this wouldnt be easy to do since it was tight this year but maybe something to think about to separate this show from others..

you should have a best parking lot reward. every year i see so many cars in the lot that should be in the show but their not. i feel llike alot of people dont think they have what it takes or they dont think its prefect nor worthy but so many cars in the lot are better then the ones in the show....not hating, i love them all
