Would you take $1k shipped to 32609?

yes I would. and I like taking busted wheels and making them pretty. this is another set I did:

I do a set of wheels every year. I enjoy the process more than anything else

That being the case, those other wheels should keep you busy for a while. How do you straighten the bends? I've got a set of LM's that I'm trying to get repaired, but o one will touch them regionally because of the value and likelihood of further damage.

Anyway, I'll send you a PM about your wheels when I get home. Where are you located again?

if they're polished you'd have to repolish and polishing sucks. depends how bad the bend is. I'd try a torch. heat makes metal malleable, then smash with a block of wood with a hammer. little sections at a time with the rim held solid in place with different shapes of wood cut to the diameter of the inside face of the lip. old school repair styles.

      I'm in Massachusetts.

DO NOT take this the wrong way, but you are quite clearly a twisted individual. Those are absolutely the angel's tits...and the Ronal's are about as close to perfectly clean that I've seen in a hand-panted and trimmed wheel. There might be medication for your disability. Headed home now, but it doesn't look good. After I pay my insurance I'll have closer to $850. I might be unable to buy until my next check. I hate this economy. Work twice as long for half as much and always away from home.

No reference required. The offer hasn't changed...just the timeline for the completion of it. I'm not saying "SOLD" and I wouldn't have if they were mine, but I'd love to own them. I made the offer in good faith, especially since you were interested in those Opera wheels. God knows you'd need the cash to get them round again, but the Ronals are just a bit more than I thought I'd have at this exact point. I'm not quitting...just slowed from a sprint to a jog.

Hell, even I'll bump this thread. Props to one original set of wheels and to me wishing that I could somehow fit them on my MKIII.

I'm actually working on something semi-wacky for the MKIII myself. New to refinishing wheels though. I'm just lucky the set I've got to work is straight with very minor wear.
