What's the back-story here? Is this a used module from another car, or?

Coding of 00022 is correct for a 1.8T engine with an 01E Manual Trans. If that's not how the car is configured, please post a complete Auto-Scan so we can see what's in it.

It was a used module that I bought from module master. My car is auto trans how do I log into the module to recode it with I believe 00021 for auto trans. Reading online it seems that I need a special log in to the module.

As Uwe suggested, please post a complete Auto-Scan so we can take a look at all installed modules connected to the powertrain data bus.

Some of ABS module don't need any login. Most likely this module don't need one . Does old part number and new part numbers are matching including letters on the end?
As Sebastian said full auto scan will help a lot.
