anything interior which has excess parts to it will have most of them included

reminds me
the DS seat had a plastic piece on the lift which i kept tossing around the car
will have to pick that up to put back into the seat....
and a few of those little white plastic glides that go on the bottom

im lucky mine was a beater which had most of the parts included and in good shape!!

found only one VW MK1
but i found two air cooled VW shops

the car i found was a maroon 1991 VW Cabriolet
2H 1.8L 72KW (96hp) digifant injected engine
with a 5 speed AUG transmission

unfotunately the dudes there wanted $1500 for it -- i told him thats too much....

it had driver side body damage and damaged rag top (white)
id swear the body damage was from them putting it out in their lot.....

the engine had all its parts, great condition seats, had almost everything still attached

except door handles, and the Catalytic converter ($$$$$200+)

so other than two, three things it was in great shape!

its got the 1991 owners guide and vw maintenance booklet in it
its registration is until 8/2011


question is:

do you want me to pull anything?
do you think the engine is good?

Be glad to give you the information to contact them

or will be glad to make a few bucks pulling parts for you and mailing them to you

not a lot of bucks mind you....but its gotta pay for itself minimum


no im not going back just for $2 parts unless someone wants a few dozen $2 parts

i got:

instrument cluster
gauge compartment, was broken when i got there already
parts of the plastic dash with all the switches, again already broken
shift boot
parking brake
both front seats
whole rear seat
tail lights with complete wires still connected
both door panels with all trims
both rear panels with window handles
both mirrors with all parts (manual operated)
door handles
door opening handles just black
whole front grille, has one crack in a headlight area

and the whole carpet
its a two piece carpet
it has two rips
one at the front passenger door
one at the rear driver left seat
ripped it trying to pull the front seats out..grrr


again it was 100F when i left at 4pm
it was already hitting 90F when i got there at 10am


anyone need anything else?

the sun visors?
they felt kinda sloppy to me but were not torn anywhere with any kind of visible damage

cannot get the automatic window buttons, already ripped out.

they are 14inch le castellets aluminum alloy, not shiny chrome polished.

Also people are always looking for the power window module and the engine computer.

The body side molding is an easy sale as well.

About the only thing I need off hand is the passenger front fender corner light fixture.

One of my cars just got hit on the front passenger fender and crushed that light.
I can get them new if need be.

I need the speaker mounts and grills that fit on the lower front part of the door panels. Also need the AC condenser that fits in front of the radiator and the smaller hose/tube that goes from the compressor to the upper condenser fitting. Could also use the AC tube that runs from the lower condenser fitting to the drier located inside the right front fender. Please email me at docwood@juno.com.
