I'd maybe try to find a used OEM axle though. I hear empi's go like twigs

Wasn't sure you'd be internetting in japan. I looked for some used OEM ones but decided on an empi. I've heard mixed reviews but I'm not dumped so I figure I can roll around on it for a couple months. Gas tank problem should be solved tomorrow hopefully. Hardwood floor is almost done. Gonna do the thermostat sometimes this week. Picking up the wheels tomorrow

the skylines, evos, and mugens keep cars on the brain haha.

what are you doing about the gas tank? can you just patch it?

And maybe i can squeeze in my thermostat when I get home before I gotta go back to school. Not much good just sitting in that box...

Did you get adapters yet? I was gonna send you the link to the $200 ones but I saw you beat me to it lol. Can't wait to see the wheels on the car dude

Tried to patch the gas tank, I believe it's leaking from the underside.. ugh. So it actually dripping outside and I will probably have to take the tank out.Taking the tank out might be just as hard as the timing belt since I have to remove the whole rear axle fml.

started work on my gas tank leak, siphoning out the gasoline was a pain until I searched vortex. Then i started on removing my brake calipers and then i found out that I didn't have an 8mm hex so I'm stuck until tomorrow. Hopefully adapters will be on by the 20th

but aren't you suppose to leave some tooth for when you are painting?

I mean, to my knowlege 1000-2000 grit is just for the finish, not for prep, could be wrong though.

I would do 60, 220, 400, 600, 800 then paint. Then 800 wetsand between each layer and go into the 1000 and 2000 for the last layer for a good finish.

But i'm a body work virgin, just feel like i remember reading this somewhere, so take what i say with a grain of salt

I'm not sure tbh, but I did 1000 grit on my skirts and they came out fap. You're probably right though. I'll probably stick to 800 for the primer. Using the the single stage rusto satin white so I'll go 1000-2000 in between every 3-4 coats.

change of plans, going 60,220, laying down primer, hitting the primer with 400, then laying down the paint with 800,1000 in between a number of coats.
