Great Hawks/coyotes game. Smith is going to get some flak for the "alleged" acting though.

That was the blues I feared. I have a feeling this next one will be a gritty one. I like the Passion the sharks are showing, I'd just hope they apply it better.

Yeah, how was he not tossed? The official was right there. Lots of gooning so far this year, in just about every series.

I know some may think the Pens/Flyers game right now is just a bunch of garbage going on but **** my life this game (fight ) is awesome to watch. I am surprised Crosby is out throwing punches. Nice to see, just seems like there is too much down side (concussion).

I love that the Flyers are crushing Pittsburgh right now but I feel kind of bad for Fluerry.

Ya but if it had actualy been allowed to happen Giroux would have taken Crosby out of the playoffs.

Ashams hit on Schenn that just happened was BS.

This is almost as good as a Bruins vs. Candiens game. 2 best rivalries in hockey for sure.

The NHL has no one to blame but the officials. If they would quit calling the ticky tacky ****, and call the calls that need to be made these games wouldnt get out of hand, i.e. the no call on Neal's first charge/interference/high hit, and then he takes a run at Giroux 15 seconds later.

Asham's hit was cheap and so were Neals. Great game to watch though, haha. I was cracking up when they played the Hulk Hogan clip right after Hartnell got escorted off the ice.

i dont care about either team - as a neutral observer i was very entertained!

i thought for certain it was a mistake on-screen when it read approx 10:00 in the 2nd, enough time had gone by for it to be the start of the 3rd!

and tonight - GO KINGS! No question Van is going to bring their "A" game. that may or may not include diving.

I can't believe Letang and that **** that Talbot did last year trying to quiet the crowd. Wednesday's game should be very interesting.

Asham is a disgrace. Pens looked arrogant when they came out up 3-0 in game one, and they haven't been the same since. Couldn't happen to a better team either.

Now that Schneider is in net it is tough for me to choose. Would like to see him get a win but I want LA to win the series. The Florida / NJ game seemed so tame following up the Pitt / Philly game

um..giroux clearly got rocked and couldn't even find his feet...that's pretty bad right there especially for a guy who has had a concussion.

Neal left his feet both times, cheap hits. Then he went to the bench like a ***** when the fights broke out. I like how Philly sent Simmonds out onto the ice to go after Neal once things settled down during the stoppage of play.

I keep checking TSN to see if Shanahan / the League does anything about those runs.

IMO the Flyers should just get out of Game 4 with no casualties.

I'm expecting some kind of BS from Shanny. His suspensions/fines have been jokes all season and I expect that to continue.

I wish I had been able to stay up for it. Quick faced nearly 40 shots, nearly double what the Kings were able to put on Schneider, and he still managed a shutout? Amazing.

Granted, Vancouver's goal-scoring just isn't there without the Sedins in top form. They somehow managed to make it all the way to Game 7 of the finals last year with minimal contributions from the Sedins, but it's looking unlikely this year.

    Vezina to Quick?

I'm expecting some kind of fair and needed judgement from Shanny. His input is needed for the two incidents which involved a player leaving their feet.

every right to be arrogant, 32-0-3 when leading after 2, and #1 win percentage when down after 2. that said, they do have a way of playing around with the puck with a lead that really frustrates us pens fans.

fleury is frazzled. didnt let in 8 in either of the 2 redwings cup series (imo a far better team than today's flyers). let's hope this doesnt affect him long-term like Mason. he is the one player that we need 100% to make a long cup run.

i didnt catch most of the game (i had a game at 4 ), but hope to catch the replay. from what i did see, yeah, Asham, Neal are going to be suspended, not surprised if Letang and Engelland get one too. Adams will probably get some disciplinary action for pulling that queer's hair.

fleury doesn't have gill or scuderi this year to keep the front of the net clear of rebounds or bodies that don't have to pay the price to be there.

bryz hasn't been great either - but he's been as good as he has had to be thus far.

turnover-central loosy-goosy sloppy "next goal wins" is something we do at pickup - it's not something i really expect to see in a playoff game from the NHL.

the LA/VAN series has been a far tigher, and imho, more exciting spectacle - even if it's lacking the fun of a few good fistycuffs and everyone going mental.

    The Pittsburgh press' views:

Kovacevic: Don't bother showing for Game 4

PHILADELPHIA — Within a couple hours of maybe the most pathetic playoff performance in Penguins history, the sloppy, senseless and stupid-beyond-words 8-4 loss to the Flyers in Game 3 on Sunday, the tattered remains of this team boarded an aircraft for Pittsburgh. That`s where they`re set to practice the next two days, then return here for Game 4.

Do us a favor, gentlemen: Don`t come back.

Arrogant teams don't win championships, and apparently games even.

Fleury has been abysmal, which is shocking after that great regular season.

Blysma needs to get his guys under control. If Asham isn't out for 10+ games I'll be very disappointed in Shanahan. It's Blysma's team and they're playing like thugs, so some of this falls on him.

Crosby was a disgrace yesterday. You're the captain and are supposed to be setting an example. Instead he slashes Bryz's glove, knocks away Gerioux's glove, pulls his hair and suckerpunched him. The fact that he's the "face of the league" is disgusting and yesterday showed his true colors: he's a brat who wants to get away with whatever he can.

    Absolutely shameful.

you're right, when there was a little bit of hope of Gill coming back we got excited. the Niskanen/Martin acquisition was the worst in a long time.

i'd love to see a tighter play. it's the ****ing playoffs.

if the arrogance is backed up with solid play, then great, but not this garbage theyre displaying this series. Fleury is all over the place, the D is nowhere to be found, and Malkin has more/less been invisible.

Bylsma seems at a loss for words for what's going on. This is not how his team plays. I'll be interested to see who we pick up for defensemen next year.

Crosby is not a brat who wants to get away with whatever he can. he's a frustrated kid. now, i will admit he's not showing the best restraint in these situations, and is not living up to the standards that the team expects. but it's playoff hockey, against our most hated rival, and the emotions are running high.

Don't know, don't care. I was talking about you calling him a 'queer'.

    *Okay, that was a surprise.

I assume you're using a homosexual insult because he has long hair, and that you think being gay would be insulting? I guess we're lucky it wasn't Wayne Simmonds or Mike Cammalleri that you were going to use a stupid term to describe..

I have to hand it to LA, even though Vancouver has probably played better in games 2 and 3, LA is hanging in there and playing well and Quick has basically taken two games from them. One bad rebound by Schneider and that's it, game over.

I have to say though, what happened this weekend in the whole league is really bad. I like watching big hits, like Brown's hit on Henrik last night was a flat out great hit, but what is happening out there is almost like a street fight. It's just stupid and IMO is not fun to watch. I am not an MMA watcher either so take that for what it's worth. Right now a team probably can't get to the finals without losing four or five starters to injury. That's just stupid. It happened to Daniel Sedin 12 games ago and Vancouver (Henrik especially) is lost offensively without him. I'm sure Keith is smiling inside about it. Take Datsyuk out of the Detroit line-up or Giroux out of the Philly line-up and you probably have the same thing.

Of course I am disappointed about the current standing of the Van series but the rest of what is going on just makes it worse. Boston built a brute team because of what happened to Savard and the league not taking care of it, so now everyone else see it works and tries to do the same thing. It's like skill hockey doesn't matter anymore.
