This game is pretty cool, it's still in alpha phase so it's basically just a sandbox ATM, but its still fun(and FREE!).

What else is new? It's still in Alpha phase, so it's possible they could add a mac version somewhere down the road. Getting a mac version out isn't ever a priority when it comes to early stage game development.

It's a fail because I use a Mac and I won't be able to play it unless they make a Mac version

this game is very fun! me and my room mate spent about an hour building rocket ships. I got one to break the gravitational pull and it was very simple, a few solid boosters and 3 liquid

Go check out the forums for addons, there are user made parts that are just easily downloaded and pasted into the parts folder.

Yeah, I actually was playing it again the other day because I saw that they added a moon!



It took me probably 10-15 attempts before I successfully landed on it without it just sling-shotting me out into deep space, or me crashing on it. I even attempted a return trip once i did land, but they didn't make it.

I cant wait til they add more planets.

Make sure and download the lunar lander mods.

i downloaded the latest update but haven't installed any of the mods. Even with the standard stuff it's pretty fun.

Mods are fun, thats how you get the lunar lander, and then it has some really powerful stuff. Makes the challenge of the game a lot less "can i get up there?", and more "Will this thing rip itself apart, or will I go rocketing past the moon and not have enough fuel to slow myself down after the initial burn.".

Heh, I downloaded some 'warp nacells' a while back. I had to build a conventional launch stage to get it up to significant speed before I lit those off. Holy crap they were fast though, haha.

We Landed on the MOON!!!

I tried to get them back to Kearth but failed. Did my return burn, and everything looked good. For some reason it drifted off target(or maybe i need to compensate for Kearth's movement). Anyways, they went flying past earth, and it's gravity slingshot sent it flying into deep space.

its not that i don't like pc games, i just don't find much on there that gives me my twitch action fix. if i was playing more fps games, i'd surely be playing them on pc. V-sync is worth it alone.

Well after a couple of hours of trying, I finally got into orbit and safely back using only the original equipment. I was having difficulty controlling my craft, but I just went back to simplicity. 3-4 boosters with the SAS on them attached to 4 fuel tanks got me to orbit consistently, but they got stranded in orbit. Adding a 5 tank and 4th booster gets me up and back to the planet safely. On one trip I wasnt paying attention and didn't separate the control module until it was almost too late, the parachute didnt inflate until 200m above the surface.

EDIT: For those beginning, this is the tutorial I viewed to get me into the orbit.

Finally got around to downloading the free version today - it's OK. I have a ridiculous time controlling the rocket though, but I figured out that I can switch on that auto control thing and it's been good ever since. I may download the full version, I'd be interested in the moon stuff.

Hit "M". It will bring up an orbital map which shows your trajectory, and will tell you if you are in orbit or will fall back to earth.

For updates, just go to the website.

I can't find updates? I just downloaded the game and when it loads, it says "new version available". When I go back to the site, it just shows the same version that I downloaded - I'm obviously doing something wrong......
