Just bought my first import a 13 GLI Autobahn from VW of CC last week.

Already received my podi boost gauge im trying to find someone to install.

Also ordered a set of Koni coil overs and springs should be here next week sometime.

Carbonio stage 1 and 2 intake is next on the list once my wallet cools down a little.

After that im really digging the notes of the aprodovik ? (spelling) turbo back system but that's a couple months away.

Does anyone make headers for the 13 GLI yet?

Im brand new to imports but ive got racing and hot rods running in my veins.

Cool, I own a 2012 white GLI autobahn. I live in corpus. There aren't too many people that get on here but there are a few of us out here with VWs.

To answer your question about headers, no. In turbo cars, they are not called headers, they are called manifolds. The turbo VWs are unique in the fact that the exhaust manifold and the turbocharger exhaust side are one piece. You can't replace just the manifold. As for exhausts, AWE, magnaflow, and borla are really the only ones out with cat backs for the Mk6 GLI right now but a ton of companies make aftermarket down pipes.

honestly bro im assuming the turbo itself....i have another just sitting in the garage but idk where it came off of and unsure if itll fit with little modification, its in good condition tho, ive had someone tell me it will fit....other than my assumption im thinking boost leaks but i highly doubt it...im free sat and sunday and anytime after 6!

on the boost gauge thats really crappy how they cant help you but whatever cause if they could theyd probably charge you two hours lol!

Took the VW over to unlimited performance and had them do the install.

Two big thumbs up, after watching them install it I am quite certain I would have broke something. lol

Plus it's always cool to oogle the big horsepower cars that shop works on.

Awesome folks, can't say enough nice things about them.

p.s. if anyone is wondering my car builds to and peaks @ 11 psi right around 6500 rpm , and falls off to around 5 psi right before the shift.

only drove it 40 ish miles after the install but I shall keep an eye on it.

Sweet, sounds about right. Wish the boost didn't drop off so much but that happens with such a small turbo.

My Koni suspension showed up last night. Guess i will be traveling up to san Antonio Thursday to get it installed haven't met anyone around here as of yet to help with such an undertaking.

Kind of depressing. Once upon a Time there was actually a scene in corpus.

Oh well. Think important going to install this suspension, get a stage one program and call it a day for imports.

Saw a decent 66 chevelle for sale i might buy, i know how to work on classics.
