    What isn't?

    Needed new tire Tuesday: $210
Needs front subframe shifted and an alignment
Still needs 3 more tires soon: $???

Dealer replaced spark plugs in a pinch Wednesday: $180

Slammed thumb in car door Thursday morning... $ouch

Fuel pump dies 100 miles into a 1000 mile road trip on Thursday:
Battery dies while sitting on side of road for 8 hours
Getting new battery and fuel pump (dealer installed): $1200

Side effects from dead fuel pump:
    $200 in tow trucks
    $190 for hotel room
    $70 in taxi's
$350 for round trip flight to Chicago so I can go back and pick up my car and try again next weekend.
$60 for the gin and tonics needed before my 2-hour-delayed flight
    And about 2 days wasted.

Screw you car. Screw you. You're about to get kicked to the curb.

Hope so. With 123,000 miles I've been waiting for the chains to start slapping, and dreading that. Who knows what's next.

rconn... I read that and my anxiety levels went through the roof. I thought my car not starting once in a while was bad but that just slapped my problem in the face. I wish you a fast mental recovery after that one

My MFD went whacky on me this morning. The temp readout jumped around from -58 to +40. It was 55 and rainy here . I suppose my car could have been having an out of body experience and making instantaneous trips to Antarctica and back, but I doubt it.

Clutch is slipping. Has been off and on for a couple weeks. Only under moderate accelleration.

Also my passenger seat "flip" leaver keeps coming off. With I could find me some j-caps.

And I need a new washer for my oil drain plug. Or a new oil drain plug as my current one is leaking ever so slightly.

I've got a drain plug and possibly some spare washers I'll send you for the price of shipping. PM me if you want it. I switched out to an ECS magnetic plug a while ago, so the OE one is just clutter for me.

if the clutch is slipping under moderate acceleration its darn near close to done.....usually when a clutch FIRST starts to go bad you cant tell with normal driving..but if you do a hard roll on 4th or 5th gear it will slip....

    baby it! clutch replacements suck!

Check gas cap. There was no reason for it to come on out of nowhere it was snug. I chalk it up to the infamous Vw gremlins.

WellI guess it's more under harder accelleration. Like going up a hill or something and I'll give it some of the loud pedal it will slip. Normal driving though and I can't even tell. I am going to baby it though because OEM replacements are not cheap.
