I only have a VF RSS32, low boost. I was driving at about 70, no boost showing. BANG, felt like I drove over a 4X4....then only rear drive.

The factory alarm now goes off whenever it wants to, more often than it used to. I pulled the plastic cover on the hatch interior to check for a leaking WW pump hose. The clip is still on & it's not leaking. I zip-tied it as a precaution.

I bought mine with 25K miles in Feb 2007. Now has 140K miles (Nov 2011).
    Fixed so far:
All 4 wheel bearings (80K miles)
    2 batteries
3 sets of Eagle F1's + 1 set Michelin Pilot Super Sports (current)
    Trans rebuild (110K miles)
Clutch / slave cylinder (110K miles)
2 A/C condensers (cracked freon lines)
    1 radiator (broken mounts)
    New Headlight buckets (Broken adjusters)
    Coils (recall)
1 set of plugs (80K miles)
Brake pads and rotors (80K miles)
    Coolant temp sensor (50K miles)
Clearcoat is all gone from roof, both sides are flaking off, numerous stone chips, etc.... Needs paint.
Even with all that, this is the most fun car I've ever owned!

Had something weird happen this morning.

I braked moderately hard in traffic and I felt a crazy vibration through the brake peddle it was almost like I felt the abs in my foot but I didn't brake hard enough for the abs to kick in
    Thoughts?

Happened to me many times, you don't have to break hard to kick on the ABS, if the road is
slippery and the brake is applied and the wheel/s locks (under slippery condition more easily),
then the ABS will kick on, anti-lock.

My R randomly dies while driving. When I take it out of gear to stop at a light it will just die. You don't even notice it, it doesn't shake or make any noises. The RPMS go from 3k to 0 without any notice. Happened to be getting off the freeway, I randomly felt the steering wheel hard when turning and the car was off, then again going home at a stop light, you don't notice it. Idk whats up.

The road wasn't slippery at all but it was a bit bumpy.. Could that be the cause?

Yes, if load is taken off the wheel/s, then it's much easier to lock than when full load is on the wheel/s.

You just named the two with the highest failure rate.
Optima has so many pissed off customers I can't believe someone hasn't burned their offices down. Check out the 4x4 boards etc- there's damn near a revolt (pun intended) going on.

Last night I damaged my center console, pushed piece #10 through the hole with my palm,
reaching for crap out of the back.

The worst part? My wife is catching onto my games.
"Break what you don't like, and you will have a good excuse to get a new one to replace it with."

So, I going to add #7, #10 and #17 along with several stuff that replaces a lot of the other soft-touch parts on or around the dash.

I could pull out the console and fix it easy (which I will do eventually and sell it), but I am working toward a 'new' looking interior.

When I am done with my baby, way downnnn down the road, she will end up mostly being a garage queen.

Jonathan, Are u still trying to sell the R32?

On a side note, i am trying to decide what to get for an exhaust. Im looking at the techtonics catback. TT has always been a good company imo and frankly my current exhaust is CRAP

What makes you think I am trying to sell her? I struggle'd not to sell her from willing buyers, actually.
Plus, I would not drop money into her if I were intending on selling, that would be foulish.

    Why, what's up?

Oh, no... I am planning on selling the 'console' after I fix it, since I will have a second one,
a new one, and wont need the older one. It's in pretty decent shaped, and I can do an internal
repair to make it better than how it came from the factory.

At boring ass fixxfest, all crazy people were talking pic's of my car (mostly the wheels), and I even
moved it away from everyone and parked it by the trees, so she wouldn't be noticed as much.

Anyway, making a collection of stuff to sell from the interior.

I think it's time I replace the fuel filter. Gas mpg isn't what it used to be. I now have a laundry list of things to do this winter.

I got an Odyssey PC925 recently. It's about half the size of a regular battery and a few of my friends with shaved bays run them in their trunks and liked them a lot, so I figured why not throw a battery that's half the size in my full battery tray in my completely stock bay lol

my clutch decided to suck all the way to the wall, and there was a lovely squeling of what sounded like a belt, but it wasnt. pulled off the road and killed the motor, looked under the car, and there was fluid running out of the clutch area. i still have no idea what it is, if anyone knows, please tell me.

Could the input shaft seal failed and the oil is causing it to squeel. I know that sounds farfetched but ill throw it out there.

WATER, DAMN WATER!!! Was waiting for rain and this project to come up.

Well, both front and rear, and both pass and drivers floorboards are wet

NOW, I suspect the moonroof drains now, since both sides are affected.
I checked them recently, they were clear, guess the POS hose over hose BS VWplaced is
not sealed well, who woudl think that brilliance would fail?

Well, 25% of the interior is out, working on the rest till it's figured out, repaired and done.

THEN I can have a odor free car again. With new interior parts.

I didn't wanna start a new thread about this because it's not really a big deal so I'll leave it here

I've had a CEL and codes for the coolant system for the past couple of months and today I was driving and my car felt like it shut off for a second as if fuel was cut off for a second and then the EPC light turned on for about 3 seconds and then it went away along with the CEL.

It was really weird haha at least the CEL is gone now
