I really wouldn't have chosen orange for the interior color, but that's still a flippin sweet interior.

      Stunningly awesome!!!

I am glad you did not wrap the E-brake lever in the new color- that would have grossed me out ;-)

I'd like to see another good pic of the seats out the window with more exterior color showing. I think the color is dead on perfect but hard to tell in that last pic with the water on the outside. I like the right color tan/brown/Peanut Butter on a TR since Ferrari has been doing it for years. But it has to be the right color against the TR since it's not really Ferrari red.

I like it a lot I was planning nearly the same color combo on my MK4 R32. But with those Recaros in the MK5 it looks tits. It should def bring in some trophy's down the line. Congrats on a GREAT looking TR R32.

Thanks for all the kind comments folks. Sorry I haven't posted anything new in a while been super busy. Heading into the shop tomorrow for 2 new tires (the price you pay for being low) and some other small check up tid-bits. I'll do a turbo write up next I think

Also, strangely today on my way into work my paddle shifters stopped working. I can still shift from the gear selector but the paddles don't work. Scanned the car and came up with 2 faults that may be related.

Tiptronic Upshift Button (On Steering Wheel) Implausible signal [sporatic] 01748 040
Control unit in steering wheel no signal / no communication [static] 01426 100

Still under warranty so not super worried, just seems like a strange thing to stop working.

I've had similar codes and the paddles don't work. I'll have to dig them up from my code dumps. I've never had a static one. Try to clear the codes on only that module with the VAD and then see if the paddles work again. If not it will generate another code. My guess is it being static it won't fix it and you'll need to go see the dealer.

Interesting that you two have experienced those issues. I'm not saying it's isolated to just you two, but still slightly interesting nonetheless.

I've had an error on and off even before my car was flashed with DSG software, so nothing new at all. Plus the module that controls the steering wheel isn't modified at all. The only things that are re-flashed on our cars are the ECM and DSG Mechatronic.

I purchased my VAD before I did any mods to my car, I learned a lot about the internal workings of the car once I started exploring with that tool. Then came DSG software and Haldex.. then turbo.

After some investigation I think it might be related to steering wheel control integration with my aftermarket stereo. It's not just the paddles that stop working, but all the face buttons as well. Going to bring it by the shop that installed the stereo this week or next to have them check it out before going to VW.

      Small update:

Added these, they feel pretty good. My plan originally was to try and do the finish in engine spun like the rest of the interior trim, but tbh, I don't really have all the right tools to do it correctly so I chickened out and finished them in brushed aluminum. I think they came out pretty good. The brushed finish on the paddles matches the brushed finish on the steering wheel number plaque pretty good.

Also did a 4-wheel alignment and re did my auto-level presets. I had needed 2 new front tires since one had word down really bad on the inside. Also found a bend in a wheel and fixed that.

I can't speak on the aftermarket stereo possibly being an issue cause I don't have one but the same thing happened to me recently and the dealer replaced the ring that makes electrical connection to the rest of the car I got airbag faults as well after a day or two. Hope that helps man. Love the car BTW such an epic build

Over a year since I last posted but here are a couple new pics from this past weekend at H2O

      On the boardwalk....

Until Po-po showed up He was actually really cool, didn't give us a ticked ($250 dollar fine) and asked if we had gotten all of our shots. Even thanked us for coming down to Ocean City.

Yeah, was sad to miss out. I'll be at WiTW 2013. I'm planning a next phase of development for my car to take it to the next level. In part, you have inspired me. Your interior is sick
