Kiss Hixon good bye for the season.... Torn ACL on the same knee as last year

Grant has told the media he is currently playing with 2 torn MCLs, and that the reason he went down on that no huddle drive was because of his knee was aggravated.

This **** can't be made up, I know football injuries are common but this is getting out of hand.

Wow, we could have seen the last Hixon as a giant and possibly as a NFL player. It's highly doubtful he will be able to get a job being so injury prone. Hopefully the giants can manage through all of these injuries. This **** is getting old.

    Current issues with the Giants...

    WR
    TE
    CB

Free agents that are still available.

    WR
TJ Hous - worked out for the Giants before Stokley was signed.. I can see him getting another call
Randy Moss - said he may come back if its the right team

    TE
Beckum stated he is ready to play if need be.

    CB
Lito Shep is still available. Ross is just a waste of a uniform right now, and next week he is going to get picked apart if Vick is playing.

The biggest baggage in there is Moss, but TJ, and Lito are good options.

I like Moss, but Nicks fills that role well enough. I'd rather someone more versatile like Housh.
Either way, I'm not crazy about introducing another new WR mid-season.

I really don't think another WR is the answer, especially after signing Stokley. Lito could help, but I think the Giants are just waiting for Prince to heal up.

Another WR would add depth, if we lose another receiver to injury then who do we have left?

The thing with Prince is we don't know if he can hack it in the NFL, just because you were good in college doesn't mean you will be good in the NFL.

I don't even want to think about losing another WR let alone any player.
Prince has the potential to be a good corner in this league, hence why he was a first rounder.

Wasn't David Carr a first round pick as well and number 1 overall in 02? What a bust that was.

To me being drafted in the first round means nothing. Look at Brady he was picked in the 6th round, and the dude is a monster.

On the flip side you can say Revis was a first rounder as well. He is one of if not the best corner in the league. We shall see what happens.

Boomer and Carton made a great point this morning.. this is where Eli's stats will really be tested. If he is truly an elite QB, he'll find ways to get the offense going... if he collapses... well, then we'll know we overpaid.

Now... if the Gmen can make a statement, and take this game... well, baby steps I guess.

I think Prince will play well in the secondary myself. Hes got a lot of talent.

There's no guarantees at any point in the draft. 1st Rd picks are just the most likely to be awesome and/or not be a dud. You can find gems later on, but Brady is the insanely rare exception. I mean, some 6th rounders or undrafted players can be pretty good and have nice careers (Chrebet), but not Brady careers.

From the Bucs, he played 6 games last year with the Giants, we cut him during the preseason to get to 53.

Ah, yep... one of the guys I work with just mentioned that too. I have no recollection of him, but my coworker said he had one monster season w the Bucs and has been a non-factor since. Meh

And that 6 game win streak is snapped..... This win is great, the G-Men did everything perfectly. What makes it better is we took Vick out of the game with a broken hand.

Great win today for the g-men. Thoroughly impressed by the offensive play calling and Cruz was a monster

Hopefully they can use this and build momentum.

Ive always thought Cruz had the potential to be a big playmaker... no I hope he can keep this going. Becoming one of Eli's go to receivers (just ask Steve Smith) can do wonders for your career.

GREAT win. ...now, maybe we get Osi back soon... and Prince. Things are lookin up right now

    You Jinxed it.

Brandon Stokley was injured during practice today. Reports are its a strained quad, but we know how true those reports are.

I am hoping its not MCL or ACL related.

Cruz seriously lucked out on that fumble being non-reviewable. And then Nicks with the TD!

It wasn't a fumble, the refs actually got the call right. Once a player gives them self up and lay down on the ground without any attempt to move forward the play is dead. Cruz did exactly that.

It's been in the rule book for a while, I'm just surprised more players don't use it. Then again most players fight for extra yards as well.

I'm happy with the win, next week 'should' be easy against the Seahawks. Welcome to 3-1 soon to be 4-1

I never realized that ...I seriously have never seen a player do that (at least not in that way). A win is a win... and they avoid the let down... and Osi played well.... AND the dream team lost again.

The argument is whether Cruz had given himself up, or had stumbled onto the ground.

Either way, it was refreshing to see the Giants marching down the field twice in a matter of a few minutes in Q4 controversial call or not. Arizona's D totally broke down by the end of the game.

Wether it was a fumble or not, and I don't think it was because I believe he did give himself up, a win is a win.
And this one is extra sweet after the cowboys choke and give up a 24-3 lead and the Dream Team loses yet again
