So my AC was out for a week or two, and I figured it just needed freon. The person I usually work on cars with was in Alaska, so I took it to an AC specialist to have them do it since it's been over 100 degrees every day here. They call me back and my whole cooling fan and compressor unit were shot. Now I'm in the hole $300 since I can't have my car overheat. What a mess.

It's hard to buy coils when you're paying for parts every week.

But for real, that sucks. **** happens though, no matter where the car was engineered.

It does not matter if it was a Honda or a VW parts brake.

Wtf? Are you retarded? I really hope this is your first car... Do you honestly believe that maintenance for a VW is any different than any other car? We've had to spend more fixing our Honda than our BMW, both which have around the same mileage

Yeah I understand that this post seems retarded and pointless, but I know you guys have been there. Regardless, everyone gets mad when their car gets ****ed up and sometimes you just have to bitch about it. It's annoying but I love my car and I hate when **** like this happens. I realize that it's almost 11 years old and it's going to have problems, but that doesn't mean you won't get frustrated when you run into some problems. I talked to my buddy and he had similar problems and now I'm just looking at it as one of those things that will make it even better in the long run. You guys are right, I apologoize for coming off as an ass who expects it to run perfectly forever.

Had to redo the A/C on daughters jetta this year. It was over $600 and while in there one of the radiator cooling fan motors was bad. So I was out about $800 by the time it was done. Sure is cold though. 10 year olds need maintainance and it's better than a car payment every month---Mike
