Unfortunately no DSLR at the moment, I own a 35mm nikon slr, and a Meade Deep Sky Imager-II which I have not yet tried to use. Just starting to dabble in the Astrophotography side of things, but there is a huge learning curve

That is awesome. I have a cheap little telescope and I thought it was neat just to see the moon closer! Jupiter just looks like a star to me. Thanks for the pic.

Honestly if you are into this stuff check out cloundynights there is alot of knowledge in that place and you really donot have to break the bank on a huge scope to get some good views of the sky, planets and some deep sky objects. One thing I would recommend everyone starting out is find a scope/mount with the computerized "go-to" feature. Its amazing the amount of stuff that is up in the night sky that I would never of found without it back in the day

AWESOME! I have been tossing around the idea of doing a DIY tube clock for a few weeks. I didn't know that there were tube watches as well. I'd imagine the battery only lasts a short time though.

It has accelerometer so it only lights up when it's at certain position. It flashes hours first and then minutes.
