Got the alignment done yesterday. It actually wasn't that bad, but it was due by time and I don't like wearing tires out due to negligence. Once the coilovers go on, I am just going to have to realign it again.





Got an exhaust leak fixed the other night as well. When we installed the Unitronic cat-back, we had to make an adapter and use a crappy u-clamp. Will that was causing a small leak. I just got around to swapping that clamp out with an OEM style sleeve clamp. No more leak.

Well, it's official. The battery needs to be changed. Car died several times today. I will be changing it once I am home from work (about 1930) and then on the road to Fontana Dam!

I was going to get to those but I had to do work.

Since I am here, I guess I will post that Crystal and I had a great time down at Wookies in the Woods.

The R got pushed to it's limits and sounded great doing so. I wish I got more videos of the exhaust and more photos, but we were too busy driving to do so. Next year, the GLI will be staying home and hopefully the R will have more things done to it and we will take more photos and videos.

No updates. Just been gas and go. The 50,000 mile maintenance is due very soon, about the same time as my GLI 65,000 maintenance, so I will be doing that shortly. I will hopefully be buying the proper tools for the DSG service and knocking all the fluid changes out this summer. Also considering the new Forge intake.

The coilover fund was going nicely, until we had some banking issues and had to drop that cash into an account to keep it afloat. That being said, it has started again and these will be on this summer.

Because these are 17" wheels. Putting a 215/40 is too small.

Just purchased a set of new black BBS CH's (18" x 8", ET40) today. Waiting for them to ship from California and then buying rubber (215/40 NeoGens). They will not go on until coilovers have been purchased.

Still debating on whether or not to cheat on FK. Their availability is garbage.

Nice wheels! As far as coils check with ESE. I got mine there and only took about 10 days. Only thing that sucks with them is they are in PA so your going to get hit with sales tax. So would be more than ECS but may be able to get them quicker if in a hurry.

I am actually asking if they can ship me silver ones instead of black. The wife really wanted black, but I convinced her that silver will flow better. They have silver ones for sale as well so it shouldn't be an issue.

As far as ESE, I have heard few people say they get their stuff quickly from them, especially coilovers. But I will see what happens. If I can scrounge up more dough quickly, I'll just try them out.
