Indeed. Depending how serious you are with getting good times...Don't get crazy during fill up. Try and keep the weight down for the track. Best to fill up gas jugs.

I'm going to get a half tank. That should be a quarter tank by the time Wednesday is here. You know it's going to rain right? And do you guys have a car I can through my wheels is while I'm running?

Going to try and get this one warrantied, sell it and buy a VF Mount. First I have to get the stock one in though! Pretty pissed I didn't break a 12. I guess that will come in practice.

HPA only makes lower motor mounts as far as I'm aware..correct me if i'm wrong...and I know APR sells VWR mounts, supposedly "APR tuned"..which are just ridiculously priced..

hit up BFI..they are usually pretty good with warranties and problems like that..hopefully you can get the issue resolved...I've heard a lot of good about VF mounts...have you tried looking into BSH mounts? Anyone have info on those?

And i'm sure your times will come down, it's all in practice! You have a new set up to learn...and by the way..sick burnout pic!

Definitely not buying the ridiculously priced APR (VWR) ones. I'm sure BFI will end up getting me a new one, but I really don't want to use it anymore if everytime I go to the track it breaks (and I would try stage 2, but it has terrible vibrations). I have looked into the BSH ones. I already have a ton of money into these mounts and I really don't want to spend that all over again. Hopefully I can sell the new one I get and take a minimal loss on it and just get the VF one.

Times will definitly come down, just need some more practice. And thanks

For real...VWR/APR mounts are just ridiculous....If BFI stage 2 mounts have a lot of vibration, wouldn't the BSH or VF ones have more as well? And how do BSH compare against VF? Any reason you are deciding to go VF instead?

And they will! just keep at it and good luck!

There is definitely a flaw in their design...I am running 034 mounts and they are great...I am however thinking of switching to the 80a track density version though

It was recommended I go for the VF ones. I was told the durometer is actually softer, but the design is better.

Yea there is definitely a flaw. I'm far from the first person to break one. I'm so jealous you break 12's on stock tires and 93. I got the same mph you did on 100 octane

The vf mounts have a ton of vibration in comparison to the bfi or either 034 mount

Really? I thought they had a softer durometer? So you don't like the 034 mounts?

are you running the 034 streets? how's the NVH on those?

which Zaino products do you use? it does take awhile to do multiple coats, but the accelerant helps. When it's done it looks crazy good and really protects well. amazing how little you need to get the job done, too.

I bought one of their kits so I have a little of everything. I washed with dawn and flayed using their bar. Then used z5 (the swirl remover, scratch one), then z6, then z2, then z6 again. I planned on doing two coats of the z2, but I was tired of being outside at the end so I stopped after one. It rained today and the water beaded off like crazy and it looked sooo good. Driving through work I always get black **** all over the hatch which doesn't come off I less I wash the car. But, when I got home today I just sprayed the car down with the hose and EVERYTHING disappeared so I'd say it's doing a damn good job. Hopefully it lasts. I might still put one more coat if the z2 on in the next few weeks, but I love it so far

the nvh is almost irrelevant...they have very little difference from stock...I would say go for the track mounts if you have a 6 speed...dsg the streets should be perfect

VF's vibrate a LOT in comparison...i love the 034, but i think my personal taste would suite the track version...i occasionally, but rarely, get a minor wheels hop is the only thing that makes me feel that way

That sucks. I really like how the BFI's felt, but if they don't hold up to the track thats a problem. And I've been in cars with the stage 2 mounts..screw that. I would just get the passenger side 034 mount, but they don't sell it seperately. Another thing I don't like about the 034's is that they look stock. I'm not all about looks, but if I'm spending 200 bucks on a mount I think it should be somewhat asthetically pleasing. I wonder how the VF's feel in comparison to the BFI stage 1 or the BSH's. I truthfully didn't notice any vibrations with the BFI's, but then again people complain about the torque arm insert which I didn't notice anything terrible with that either. Whenever they send me a replacement for the BFI I'll have to figure it all out.

it does a nice job of protecting while looking glossy for months

    My detail regimen:

    wash
    clay if needed
2 coats of ZFX enabled Z-5 PRO
1 coat of Z-2 PRO (including a Z-6 wipe down between coats)
    finish with Z-CS
wait 12 hours, then wipe down with Z-8

my wife thinks I need professional help. psychiatric, not auto.

    she's probably right.

VF's vibrate a LOT in comparison...i love the 034, but i think my personal taste would suite the track version...i occasionally, but rarely, get a minor wheels hop is the only thing that makes me feel that way

interesting. was looking at the streets since I don't plan to do much tracking, though I'm beginning to think...

really love the car's ride and don't want to get too far from that with all the mods I'm planning, so was hesitant to go with the track version. would an LSD also help tame the hop?

    My detail regimen:

    wash
    clay if needed
2 coats of ZFX enabled Z-5 PRO
1 coat of Z-2 PRO (including a Z-6 wipe down between coats)
    finish with Z-CS
wait 12 hours, then wipe down with Z-8

my wife thinks I need professional help. psychiatric, not auto.

    she's probably right.
Thats crazy! I would like the add one more coat of Z2, but what I bought did not include the Z-CS or Z-8. Hopefully it last for a couple months. I'll probably do it one more time before H20 and hope it lasts the winter.

I don't know if my car is a fluke, but unless I'm going around a really hard turn it spins both everytime so I have a tough time coughing up a grand for an LSD. The Stage 1 BFI's were really comfortable and I had 99% no wheel hop with them until I went to the track. I can't speak for any of the other mounts and I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with my new mount.
