Well mine is a daily driver (as long as its not snowing anyway) and I got the endurance. The daily probably would have been fine, but I'm sure I'll be at the track a few times so I went with endurance. Plus APR's program is rated at 380tq and the daily is good for 400...I'm sure once you get into 100 octane the crank torque is over 400 so I'd rather be safe than sorry and only spend a grand once (after already spending 400 on the drop in disk once). For an extra 100 bucks I would go with the endurance.

Driver side mount in. Only drove it around the block but the car feels really solid and still only notice a little vibration Would recommend.

Mines just the regular one. All my previous cars had lightweight flywheels and it never bothered me so I'm sure this will be fine. how do you like the engagement and pedal stiffness? And did you get any torque specs? I didn't see anything in the box that said anything.

the pedal is a little stiff, you can tell right away and the engagement is solid but i havent really shift hard yet still breakin it in. Got about 470 miles left then the real testing begins. I had my local vw shop do it for me. They charge me about $300 install.

That's not too bad. I'm going to do it myself whenever I get time. I've already done it once so the second time around should be pretty quick.

Haha I hear that. I usually take a different approach to break in. No clutch drops or launches in the first 500 miles or so, but besides that I don't really do anything different. I've done a ton of clutches and using this method have never had a problem because of it.

It's snowing here and/or cold. I'm not touching it BTW at least it's good picture quality!

A little update..heading back to PA the first weekend in March to install clutch, put on new tires (cooper rs3-a), change oil and probably a good wash (Steve/Brizzy insert stupid comment here). It should be all ready for spring then. I can't wait

quick question on your clutch...does your foot have to be all the way on the floor for the clutch to disengage completely?

I mean the clutch should be all the way in before you try and change gears. By not doing so you are prematurely wearing out synchros. I don't have the new clutch in yet, I'm still using the southbend drop in disk with stock PP and flywheel. I think mine will come out before the pedal is all the way down, but I always put it down all the way.

Get this done already. Super mild winter here for Ohio. Hell we have had days in the 50's during Jan. That is just unheard of around here. This will be awesome when its done.

That's not entirely why I meant...mine engages fully about a quarter or half inch from the floor...not as much of a friction area...I was just wondering if other southbend clutches were the same

I know man. I can't wait to able to fully drive it again without it getting completely destroyed after the first 10 minutes. I want to get that clutch changed and it's needs tires bad (I've had brand new ones sitting at my parent house in PA since Christmas). After I do that I'll probably start driving it again in March. We have to do a GTG sometime!

Oh okay. I see what you are saying. I have heard exactly what you are talking about from other people using a southbend set-up. My disk only doesn't do that, but I'm hoping the full set-up will...mine currently lets out about halfway through the travel range and I hate it.
