    Thanks

Was looking to go HR coilovers but may just go HR springs. Im not looking to go super low so springs should do. Either way should happen some time before spring.

Got the 40k service done today. Very pleased with the service at Sutliff VW of Harrisburg. Me being very pleased may be do to the fact I got the Halidex fluid and filter changed for free! Turns out that when they updated the 40k service to include the Halidex service they didn't adjust the price in there computers. Very happy that they stuck to the price quote I was given and didn't try to give me the run a round.

So total price for 40k minus the DSG service (done with recall 13 months ago) and the free Halidex service was just under $500.

Score. DSG service is the real expensive part of it. Requires special tools and the service itself requires a lot of stupid, tedious tasks, i.e. letting fluid cool, warming it back up, etc etc.

Every time I try to park with no cars next to me. If I return and there is a car next to me, I'm always expecting damage

Ordering coil overs this week! Think I'm going with the FK KonigSports after alot of research. Was going to get HR but a little pricey for not having adjustable dampaning.

Need to find a place in Central Pa or semi close for install. Any recommendation on shops would be great. Looking to get them installed after car gets out of body shop.

The estimate was $3500. Rear quarter panel needed replace, bumper fixed, wheel refinished, mirror cover replaced and pretty much the entire driver side is getting repainted/blended and clear coated. Shipping was delayed on the quarter panel part so going to be a bit before I get it back.

Just glad I don't have to pay for any of it.

    Nice!

I got lucky on mine, as actual body damage was very minimal; it was mainly just the bumper skins and the light.

Hope you have it back better than new and really soon

Drove 25 extra miles out of the way to get home form picking the .:R up just because!

Grin on my face the entire time Rainy overcast day but from what I could tell paint was spot on.

Went to lock my car this morning and the horn didn't chirp like normal. Tried a couple times but nothing. The doors did lock and I did check to make sure all doors were closed. Any idea why no chirp?

There is a setting in the mfd that can allow you to turn the chirp on/off upon locking of doors. I forgot the exact setting but it's under "convenience" iirc.

these updates are useless without pics

P.S mine has always been a "silent" locker. It never hoots when it is locked.

I'll snap a couple picks of the after repairs but really nothing to see. Looks just like it did before, atleast that's what I keep saying just to keep from finding something wrong even tho there isn't.

Mine has always chirped and this morning it didn't so who knows.

those pictures above make me cringe! glad your car is fixed. to a fellow CEPA DBP Penn Stater .:R. and about the lack of chirp, did you make sure your hood and hatch are closed all the way? anything open will stop the alarm chirp and will show up in the MFD too.
