2012 TDI! I just bought her last night at Park Cities VW in Dallas.
I'm coming off an A4 B6 and have had a Passat B5 and Jetta MKIII in the past.
Somewhere I have a long lost VWVortex account, but I can't figure out what it is.
I'm so excited about this car and am ecstatic about the Fender stereo.

Argh, for a car that's more expensive than my GLI (MSRP to MSRP) this car looks plain as helllllllllllllll.
Considered it before I got my GLI but I think I would've been disappointed purely based on looks.
You'll enjoy the fender audio, it's pretty decent.

First thing I'll probably do is change out the wheels. I'm thinking S5 18 wheels in gunmetal, but I have been known to change my mind. I fell in love with the interior since it's essentially tri-tone with the corn silk, black, and trim.
Here are some pics of the A4 I had, and the interior which you've probably seen before anyway.

Heard a loud THUNK while driving to work in the far left lane. What the hell did I hit?? I knew the car was going to have be broken in, but this wasn't what I had in mind!!

That sucks man. I remember when I first saw the big gash and a string of paint hanging from my bumper. I went through every scenario in my head. Then my wife mentioned she brushed a snow pile while parking.
Finally got my jetta back today. Debating about getting another Jetta or a new Passat, since she always has the jetta some how.
On a serious note, anyone in the Philly area able to help me activate my right hand controls for my steering wheel?

was going to get a 4 door tdi golf, but vw doesn't offer the financing rates the gti's have right now. i guess they know people are going to buy tdi's regardless.
what i traded in.
don't get me wrong, I love the way my GLI looked! it was the build quality that ruined it for me. First time Jetta MK6 owners may think they are great cars, and they probably are, I just wasn't happy with it.

Chucka, was it a stiff ride? (no homo) Im trying to convince my wife to let me modify the suspension, but I need to keep it nice and stock feeling. Two babies in the back, I dont need to be rubbing and slamming on pot holes. I was thinking H&R sport springs, but it wouldnt put me that low, would it?

Just got my grill and fogs back from the shop today, had it painted to match the upper grill. I hated the unpainted grayish black textured plastic! Carved out the stock hole on the driver a bit beforehand to give extra air for my carbonio intake

Thanks!
Don't know man, I took it to this shop I go to for painting. He painted my civic bumper when I messed it up and I will be turning to him for all my automotive paint needs. All I know is he has to sand off the texture first, then paint it and clear it a lot with some additives to keep it durable and resistant against rock chips since it is so low to the ground.
