Since I picked my white gold metallic Jetta at the auction a few weeks ago I've been wanting to take the time to clay bar it to get rid of the rough contaminants on the finish. Today was the day!

Hand washed with warm soapy water
    Rinsed with hose
Got in car and air dried at 90 mph for 1 mile
Turned around and continued to air dry for 1 mile at same speed
Dried of remaining water in door sills, trunk and other areas
Clay bared entire vehicle with Mother's Kit
Waxed with Mequiars Ultimate Wax Polish
Stood back at amazement in how deep and glossy the shine looked!

Seriously, if you never clay bared your vehicle you should consider it, it's gets your finish glass smooth so the wax shines so much better and gives it a deep finish. Make sure you wax right after you've done it though as it will remove any previous wax protection on your vehicle. It's a lot of work but well worth it.

I clayed/waxed mine the day after I brought it home.
Less than 2 months old and under 50 miles. Couple hours well spent.

Well, the MkVI is sitting in the garage safe but my MkV Wolf got broken into late last night/this morning. B@stards broke out the driver front window, damaged the black trim on the B pillar, messed up the trim in the upper right corner and put two dents in the roof from using the sheet metal as leverage on the pry bar. Freaking cowards. Ya, break into a car when no one is around so you can steal a bag and a car charger. Next time, ring my door bell and I will unlock it for you. I dont care about the contents stolen, just the damage done to the car.

I wish this country had that kind of punishment system. Steal? Get your hands chopped off.. Rape? Get your your front cut and you're back gaped. Murder? You are hung immediately upon proven guilty... No more sending every person to the tax payer paid resort we call prison

Yeah they get to live comfortably when in their cells, but the constant threat of anal intrusion gives me a sense of justice for criminals.

You're going to need to trim those D-cups a little and trim the nipple a little. Also, with the beam rear suspension you need to look into a way to mount the top mount. Otherwise every time you go over an incline at an angle, the rear bag mounts will pop off. Not hard to put back, but a PITA to deal with daily. Some people have used fabbed brackets to keep them in place. Drew welded bolts in place on mine to keep them in place and that has worked great.

Red trim around upper grille. Blacked out lower chrome grille with Plasti-Dip. Added German license plate.
