Single. Wasn't looking, but found someone, who was actually a really close friend. She burned me. Forever alone.
As sad as it may be, letting go of that "need" and accepting a certain situation can actually be very liberating. When you no longer focus on something so, well... pointless, you get to enjoy life and experience the things you might not have been able to do otherwise.. or even try new things.
In my case, the thoughts of the insane ex still flood my mind from time to time, but you try to focus on the good times and let everything else go. Once you do that, you can really free yourself from your own personal prison.
I guess when that happens and you start to enjoy the company of your friends and family and start to do the things you enjoy, and people will see that you have a glow about you and will gravitate towards a person who looks and is happy... not gloomy and clingy. But hey, that might not happen either. But life is too short to waste your time over analyzing... You don't need another person to make you happy... you have to do that yourself (inb4 jerky jokes). It's been said earlier in this thread, but it's so true. Still workin' on that one :/
