Sounds like you need to get out of it before it really goes down.

Take the time to truly find yourself first.

That can take years, but the rest as they say is history!

Leave. Seriously. It won't get better. I dragged a relationship out way too long because I didn't want to hurt his feelings. Nothing ever changed, and I was miserable. Don't sacrifice your happiness for his.

Seriously. Three years down the drain for me. You don't know how good it can be without someone clinging on to you for dear life 24/7.

Why is it women think if they don't marry the dude, their time was wasted? Did you learn anything during that time? If yes, then it wasn't wasted. If no, you were probably wasted

If you take 3 years to get out of a relationship that you should have run from after 6 months. It's natural to think of that as wasted time.

Make it a little less so by never making that mistake again.

Exactly. Because if you were miserable without the balls to call it quits earlier then I think my time was wasted. Missed out on a lot. In this case it was absolutely wasted. I learned being a suga momma is no fun and to pack everything at once next time though :p

Wait, so you're a total piece of ass AND the guy was mooching off of you. Damn. That guy must've been the **** or you're damaged goods. If it's the latter, I'm intrigued.

Me too! Only girl I've ever met who is just super independent, internally motivated, yet she is a sucker for affection. It's great.
I've got a bunch of high end vintage audio gear I'm clearing out, restored Marantz 4270 - better than new condition; Pioneer SX-5590, 8/10; Concept 16.5, 8/10 cosmetically - 10/10 function. Various high end vintage speakers: Rectilinear Research, AR, Kenwood, Infinity, McIntosh, Leslie 251. PM me for details, clearing out to finance home theater upgrade.

Get out, now. It'll only get harder as time goes on. No one should have to live like that... although we all end up doing our time You'll feel bad for like a week, and then forget about it when you realize how much fun it is being single and doing your own thing- once you're having fun, you'll meet someone awesome and it'll all be worth it

If you spend TOO much time, then it is time wasted. Ideally like DK said, within like 6 months or so figure it out. Took me a year once and I still about it, ugh. But yes, they are all learning experiences... sometimes it's about learning what's not right for you

That's just it. Would you be the same person you are now if you hadn't spent that time with whoever? You learned something. Hindsight is always 20/20. Just because now you realize it's not right for you now, doesn't mean it wasn't right for you then. But, I agree, if you aren't happy GTFO!

On the topic of wasting time, I certainly wasted mine. Around 10 months in or so I was done and wanted to call it quits, so I was told that something needed to be said to me - "the doctors say I have cervical cancer and have around a year to live". Knowing there were problems in that area, I actually bought that garbage and stayed for the wrong reasons.
Boy.. do I ever feel like a dummy.
