    What's up everyone? My names scott, I've been a long time lurker since 2007 when I had my first A4 and have been hooked on this site and B5 A4's ever since.
    My first A4 was a Pearl 98.5 AEB 1.8T with 121,000 miles on it first week I did an exhaust/GIAC chip and about a month after that the turbo went. Bought an ATP GTRS Eliminator and 440cc injectors and ran it on the KO3 tune for about three years on 25psi(Cause weee allll know that's a smart thing to do) and the seals on the turbo went... After that I planned on building the motor and what not, so I pulled the motor and ripped it down, which turned into 2 years of procrastinating and getting a whole lot of nothing done....
    So this past may I was starting a list of what I was going to do with it, build to a 2.0 and slap a Precision 5857 on it(Zerb is from my town soo, I had him helping me out), because I couldn't go another summer with out it.... that same month I was randomly searching the classifieds and seent the title "FS: 1997 Pearl White Audi A4, 2008cc built motor with PTE6057 Dual BB turbo, 120k, NJ" which Killa was selling.... I absolutely looove Pearl A4's and if this wasn't pearl I would have built my car up like I really really wanted to do(Was soo against buying a built car).... But this for $10,000 and me having the ability to build on it looked a lot better than the $10,000 plus that I would have spent on my car which has been sitting for 2 years. Soo after contacting killa and meeting up with him I bought the car off him within the week of seeing the post and the day I test drove it.

    I've had the car for a little over three months now and absolutely looove having an A4 back in my life!
    Since I've owned it I've only done little things so far;
    Swapped the hideous 96-97 tails with my 98's w/ all red over lays
    Swapped the rear bumper cover and debadged trunk lid(from my 98), cause those were both effed'
    Wrapped all the wires from the ECU box to the motor since 90% of them were exposed
    Painted the bay black and started on some of the misc. parts
    Removed one of the two resonators(which has gotten me 2 exhaust tickets in the past week)
    Removed the A/C system
    Put in my Greddy Profec B EBC(in the center vent as well)
    Homemade Center boost Pod
    The black headrest off my 98
    Cut down the shifter and put my old knob in
    Textured grill

    The motor, the way Killa built it;
    Eurodyne 870cc tune for Bosch Motronic5
    Built AEB
    83mm Wiseco flat top pistons
    Mild Cat cams
    Brute I-beams and EDM drilling
    ABA 92.8mm crank
    VR6 Throttle Body
    Audi 4.2 V8 MAF
    Tial 38mm Vband Wastegate
    Precision dual BB 6057(Vband)

    Now:
    83mm CP Pistons

    Car runs solid and is fast as hell, Ran it with a friend of mines 2001 bullitt V8 turboed mustang which has 597hp and 600tq from a third gear roll at 60mph pulled a car and a half on him through third he came back up in fouth and we stayed door to door until 140 when I started pulling on him and we let off at 155.... So thank you Paul for selling me quite the beast.

    When I bought the car it smoked a bit and went through about a quart or so of oil every 2 weeks..... now it smokes substantially and is between a quart to two quarts a week and goes through plugs like crazy.... when I had the front end off to remove the A/C, clean everything up and wrap the wires I checked the play on the turbine which there was none, there was not a drop of oil in the intercooler piping and intake mani, but a little oil on top of some of the intake valves.... I'm going to assume either the valve seals are shot or the oil rings(Car has perfect compression).... Soo ina week or two I'm going to pull the motor and figure out what I have to do, clean up a lot more shtuff and have zerb hook me up with a valve cover for a catch can setup!

    After I figure out what's wrong with my smoking/oil loss problem, I can start with alll the gooodies.... COOIILLSSS are a high priority on my list!

    Here's my old pile, I have better pics that weren't added back in the day;

    Yeah I hear you on the headrest, a little to clashy, looks a little better in person than pics though... And the height kills me everyday, since me last one was low... but I gots to figure out my smoking/oil consumption issue before coils!

    Soo ina few weeks I'm going to rip the motor apart to figure out what's going on in there, over three quarts a week and smoking like a mother, so going to redo the rings and prolly do some head work, high rate valve springs or some some since it's going to be apart. Not happy about it cause it still runs sooo goood!!
    My EBC stopped working so i'm only on the 17psi wastegate spring, Ran it with my boys 600r Ninja and we stayed dead even till 140, definitely didn't think that would be the outcome on 17psi... was quite pumped about it, but i guess i'll end driving it fora little on that note.

    First i'm going to attemp to part out a bunch of **** from my 98' for some funding purposes, I'll make a legit sale thread once I get time.... I have basically every single thing for the car...

    If anyone's interested I have an AEB block and head w/ I believe it was 170,xxx miles on it, I'll hook up a battery and get the exact millage later on. The block is pulled apart, but we were thinking of honing it out and whatnot and putting it back together, the head is still in one piece...

    Before I ripped it apart for essentially no reason other than the seals sh/tting on the GTRS, it ran awesome... blah someone help me get rid of some ish!

    Very nice Can never go wrong with a turbo the size of your head

    Why did you paint the bay black? Just for looks?

    i support the black headrests b/c they match your fuel filler lid. perhaps black the mirrors out too? or would that make it look too much like a panda? pandas are cute tho so that may not be all bad...

    DeathKing; They're 225/45's.... I was thinking of getting rid of them when I got the car, but they grew on me pretty hard. I'm sure I'll like them even more with coils and some kinda breaks after winter

    MikkiJayne; I painted the bay black on my first B5 and it just didn't look the same in there with no darkness haha, That and mostly to make everything blend into the bay till I eliminate/tuck some ish'... I'm going to pull the motor soon though, soo it might get switched up.

    And the source of the oil consumption has been found... Cylinder #1 has a fracture on the skirt and #3 has the two chunks missing, The oil rings were doing absolutely nothing as well. I'll post better pics and update later on. Also; the clutch is completely shot, timing belt tensioner was in two pieces and the passenger side axle was attached to the tranny by half of one bolt O_o in other words donezo'ed as well

    Thanks dude, it's getting there. My last A4 had all black seats, carpet, door cards and dash, which I was absolutely in with. My current one only has the dash and door cards as you can see... Eventually I want to do the carpet, headliner and pillars black, but keep the seats and door card inserts beige... Hence the reason I swapped the headrest from my other car, I think in the end it'll all pull together and look pretty doope.

    Getting a little closer! Went and paid off the last $600.oo in fines I had from the three months(if that) of driving the car before I lost my license , DMV should be sending my license back sometime this week and hopefully have the car back together within the next two weeks!

    Spec stage 3+ Clutch, full gasket+ kit and 83mm CP pistons(Thanks to PagParts) should be here by the end of the week, HOPEFULLY!

    Order a boost and oil pressure gauge on Thursday and it got here today somehow, not complaining though! So I instantly got started on that tonight, prolly have it all buttoned up tomorrow night. Still have one more vent to cut out and some minor adjustments, ****s such a pain in the dee!!

    Bitch.. I've already toolldd you.... I've been smokinnn'!

    thanks man, it's coming along, can't wait till everything's back in one piece! I ordered the A/F off AEM's main site and it came too $230.00 shipped w/ black or white bezel, black or white face plate, O2 sensor/bung and enough wiring harness to put it on the trunk lid.

    Finally after adding a few black interior pieces swapped from my old car and the tedious dremeling of the vents for the gauges, I might... Jussst might be starting to fall in love with this interior, as much as I loved the all black interior on my old B5.

    Still have some stuff to put back together/clean up, but I'm feeling the **** out of the gauge setup... Although I wish my boost controller was low on the middle vent for, this face; O__O

    Looks dope man! Love the suttle changes you have made to the interior by swapping in your other cars black pieces. What did you end up setting the coilovers at?

    Thanks a lot duude! I wish I swapped more stuff before I sold the old one, but I like it 1000x's better with the minor bits of black I've added so far, soon enough I'll be satisfied haha. I believe the backs still have 4 threads left(at 23-1/2 GTF) and the fronts have like two threads left(24-1/2 GTF), but I don't have the motor/front end in/on.

    Yeah man, ****sss weeaakk!! I got D.P'ed with both; killing all 4 pistons and getting a ticket every week for the first month of having it... But my 6 month suspension is up and this thing best be in one piece within the next two weeks!!
