Update; Soo Saturday night we got the block honed, pistons in, finished up some of the bedliner on the bay(Wish I shaved some shlt, but I didn't, maybe down the road) and got the block pretty much all back together... We'll have the block and clutch in tonight, would have had it in last night but ran out of loctite. All the clearance's seem good and hopefully all will go well! Going to send my head out to get freshened up tomorrow and should have it back sometime next week, was going to just do the valve seals and clean it up... But after doing the bottom end official, figured we might as well do the whole nine Think it's going to run flucking awesome once it's all back together! The CP's fit beautifully in the block(even without the rings), as opposed to the Weiscos which had a really sloppy feeling with a lot of play even with the rings on. once the block and head are back in it'll be back to the chopping block to figure out what I need to start ordering again and what I want to switch up... Trying to get a bunch of what I want to do done now, so HOPEFULLY I can chill out on dumping money in it fora minute. Cannot wait till everything is buttoned back up, getting RREEEAAALLL PPUUMPEEDD!!

That's funny, because I swear every time I open my hood the bay is filthy.

Rah haha... maybe it has something to do with the texture to gloss difference I know the two months I had the bay textured in this car last summer it stayed quite fresh up in there... Winter on the other hand is a completely defferent story!!

Sent my head out last Thursday to be refurbished and new valve seals, should be back by the end of the week or beginning of next... Then it should be back together shortly after, still have some finish work and ordering to do, but gotta wait till the head is back on to assess the situation... also need to get the hole in my downpipe welded where the W/G dump was and the bung for the AEM A/F gauge welded in place. Breaks/Tires, fittings welded to the valve cover for a catch can setup annnd still need a catch can!!

Digging the progress. I think you should put some cream/tan headrests on the seats, I think it looks a little off with the black ones.

Thanks duder, slowly, but surely... since I can't get my license back till August 3rd and no option of a conditional, I don't want to rush anything and be heartbroken to not really be able to drive it As for the headrest I know they look out of place in pics, but not so much in person. Plus I plan on doing black pillars and headliner, soo I'm thinking they will pull together for the two tone. Eventually I want everything black, but the seats and doorcard inserts to stay tan... we'll see though, the tan is sorta growing on me lately

Finished up the wiring and Vacuums for the gauges finally, Pretty much done with the interior fora bit.

Then later that night I was checking the forum and clicked on xdewaynex's Brilliant Timeline, Which arose the want to do a minor wire/vacuum tuck... Since I'm still waiting on my head! Trying to make it to Waterfest, Soo I need to get this **** goin!
Routed the power wire to the starter the same way they go to the alternator and came up through the drainage hole under the battery.

Supplies to make the hole underneath the brake booster for the wiring harness to come through, Which was quite a pain in the ass with the tranny and block being in

Used in between the new holes drilled and vacuum line I cut in half as gaskets so nothing wears and exposes the wires.

Update, since I haven't ina while... I update my Instagram wayy more than I do on here, mainly cause it's less time consuming.

    *WireTuck
    *OnePiece Headlights wired in

Pretty much got all of the wiretuck etc tucking done, just waiting on my head(which the dude has had for over 2 goddamn month) to button everything back up. Was relatively easy, other than having to undo a lot of the wiring harness that I originally re-wrapped(Quite heavily) to clean it up the first time around. Probably going to be one of my favorite mods that I didn't plan on doing fora while(Already happy with it, without the full motor in).

Also got away without having to extend anything but the coolant bottle wires and ground wire off the main harness

Gasket made with 3M windo-weld and a slit down the middle of some vacuum line(Under master cylinder

    IMG_6503

    IMG_6492

Bottom view of the main harness under the MC, Doesn't look as clusterf*cked in person
    IMG_6521

Next was a spot for the MAF wires, EVAP(Wires/Vacuum) and N75(Since they're all wired together basically)
I went with making a hole near the cabin filter/Under the tray and down through the fender well, Mainly because it made for no extending of wires and worked well with the EVAP sensor(wasn't sure if distance from where it originally was mattered, so kept it relatively close)

Minor shot of how it'll look, still have some finish work to do, but all wires are ran. Grounds and such on the driver side will be hidden by the coolant reservoir(Which will be replaced with a freshy), Intake covers the MAF wire, head will hide the little things you see under the battery tray. Only things that'll really be seen are on the passenger side; a little of the O2 sensor wires/ A/f wire and lines off the wastegate to the turbo/boost controller(which I have an idea what I wanna do, soo that's fine). Going to order a coil cover to take care of those wires and end up weaving the injector wires through the manifold, Should look relatively clean when everything is back in I believe

Next up was cutting the fenders and wiring in the one piece Depo's, which took all of 20 mins to do all 4 things. Figured the city lights would work without modding, but had to end up putting in jumpers from the city light wire to the constant on the side markers, again nothing difficult.

    Questions doe;
    (My car is a 97')

    1. Has anyone else had to put in jumpers for the city lights to work?
    2. For non-Xenon/HID what is used for the low beam, the inner or outer ballast?
    3. Is the projector side used as the high beam?

Everything is wired to the specs that came on the new plugs correctly, but every picture and car in person with one pieces I've seen, the low beams are in the projector side.

    Annnnnd some pics....

first one idk but the second one looks like a headlight plug, which you'll need to get creative to make your own wiring harness for the depo headlights with.

The projectors are used for the low beams

Think I may have figured out the issue with the projectors not working as the low beams and that being that you need all bulbs in for them to work correctly, find out tomorrow when I get all new bulbs.

As for that second plug pictured above... not headlight related. The Depo's came with necessary plugs to wire them up, along with the new harness's with each wire labeled with the colors of the original harness for ease of splicing.

Was planning on keeping my AEB head from my first A4 to build, but I think I'm gunna let it go instead.
    *AEB
    *177,875 miles
*Had no issues when I had the car and has been in safe keeping, a deck is obviously necessary and while you're at it, doing the valve seals wouldn't hurt.
    Shoot me some offers.
