Mark's been getting ready for several months. He's pretty stoked to participate, and it's on his 35th birthday so this will be a pretty me morable one.

My brother just did the tough mudder here in VA... He is the fittest person i know and he said it kicked his butt. I would love to do it one day but I need baby steps...lol I did the Warrior Dash this year, and gonna try and do the Spartan Sprint next year. Until then I am just running 5ks lol

I think that 10 years of military conditioning will get me through the mudder without training. I mean, I almost beat out the steroided German in the Stein holding contest.

how did they do? Mark finished in a little over 3 hours. He said he was frozen but by the time I saw him, other than dirty, you would never know he had just been through TM! He looked great.

I walked by the majority of the obstacles to take pictures and it looked insane. I want to do it next year in April in PA. We should get a group of gals to do it. We can even wear matching team colors and tees, "VW Ladies". Get VWofA to sponsor us...hey, don't put it past me because I'm sure I can make it happen haha

We did it around the 3 hour mark also. Still waiting for the official times to be released.

By the time we finished, I could drink my beer because I shivered to the poor where I spilled it. The water obstacles were the absolute worst. Especially the tank filled with ice. it took a couple of house to regain feeling in my toes.

Oh my goodness....some people were shaking so bad they could barely walk. Their beer was spilling all over the place too. One thing I didn't see were injuries. I don't doubt that there were a couple but I expected to see more I guess.

Y'all are crazy!!!!!! I was just looking at the website pics & I have to say...it does look fun! LOL!! As for the cold shower part, I could handle that....it would be the 15' rope climb, 1/4 pipe, 12' walls that I would have a problem with! I would be game to try though.

I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed with Mark & Nuno for completing the TM!!!! Kudos boys!

I'm game And my best friend/co-worker said she wants to do it with us if we do it!! I might be able to get a few other girls to join us as well. How soon do you think we'll need to sign up????

They have different discounts the earlier you sign up. Next deadline is November 30th but when I checked earlier today, the Saturday event was already 96% full. So I may not be able to see how I fare with a two week preparatory boot camp first

There will be another PA event in May, since April filled up so quickly. All the Jersey people are going there because the wwater will be warmer than Etown in November.

So you gals still have time. I may be doing it with my brother again. I will also see how Maya deals with me yelling at her while she is doing squats and flutter kicks. It has been a while since I used my sergeant voice. I may be a bit rusty.
