Looks better without the center caps, and could use taller tires. But other than that, looks great and sounds like a fun car!

Love the car, love the wheels, but the tires are too small IMO. The whole stretched thing is fine on parking lot queens, but I prefer a little more meat for cars that actually get driven, and the Volvo wagon has a pretty big ass that needs to be visually balanced out over those small tires. Maybe just larger tires at the rear would do the trick? but again, just my opinion. The other thing is that with tires that small the car has to be WAYYYY low to look "right".
overall, damn nice car![]()

Mate, your Vovlo looks ace - the 5 spokes are just plain cool! They look so much better than the Corvette (?) wheels.
Can you tell me what make (and model?) the 5 spokes are please? I can only find things like Borbet Azev A which look similar.
The stretched tyres look great and will help with the 'stick or slide' needed to control drifting. A lack of tyre sidewall flex and lack of suspension travel also help!
Shame you had to lose some front camber, but I understand for a daily driver! Tyres just aren't cheap.
Keep up the good work, its great to see Volvo's with some style!
Andi.

Running on MSII 15psi injectors hit 155% dc hahaha so im saving up for some 1,500cc injectors. Ill toss an 044 under the car and play with e85. Im going to tune for 20psi. My battery wont hold a charge so its trash. few odds and ends need tightening up.

Reminds me of my buddy's car (which is autocrossed regularly) You need a little weight reduction piece I just finished for him
FG hood - about 20lbs total with underhood bracing to make it as rigid as stock
He hasn't gotten around to the finish work and paint on it, I just did the rough part for him and left it for him to finish, that way he wasn't into me for hours of work.
He needs a turbo, I'll have to send him to this thread to drool.

Finished or unfinished?
Unfinished is raw fiberglass which would have a texture to it and need a final fill/sand/paint on the exterior surface (trying to finish sand the underside with the supports is an exercise in madness)
Finished would be paint ready in primer (top side smooth, underside raw)
The one I did for him had the hinge supports cut out and glassed in to the structure so he could keep it on hinges, I'd need another hood to do that (or I could possibly fabricate some) or if you want to pin all 4 corners that makes it easier.
No idea what it would take to ship it (you are in cali right?) and it wouldn't be a job I could get to until after the holidays, but if you are seriously interested I could be inspired.
Probably looking at $200ish unfinished and $350ish finished, partially depends on what the materials costs are at the time I order them.
I pointed my buddy to this thread because he needs to see your car so if he pops over he can tell you a bit more about it. I do all my body panels as one offs (no molds made) so its quicker to pop out a one off but if I had made a mold when I did his it would give a much better finish product and let me make more quickly, but at the time none of his other volvo friends wanted in so I didnt make a mold.
And for a lot less money I can step you through how to make your own, its not that difficult![]()

Come spring time we are talking about doing the rear hatch and sooner or later Im going to talk him into letting me do full flared front fenders and add on flares for the rear so he can stuff bigger tires in there.
Never flared a volvo but I have flared this little box

Not joking about showing you how to do your own either. One of my teammates did the hood on our Wartburg project as a first time project. Its a little wonky around the edges, not his fault, I was rushed to finish it for paint, but its a good solid piece and he was able to pull it off with just a little instruction.

MS2
Heres a video i took right after i got it running on MS i had barely tuned it and the idle rpm obviously needed to be increased its running MUCH much smoother now but im posting this video so you can see the lexan rear windows i installed.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNb-h...1&feature=plcp
Waiting for lines to put this in
Bought a t5 and got a hurst SST shifter, needed some modifying to fit my car more. I also bought a billet flywheel a stage 4 vw 228mm pressureplate (good for 400+ftlbs) and a clutch disk. Need to build a crossmember and have my driveshaft shortened ballanced and i can put this stuff in.
And a fake cat, i can tune my way around emissions with MS so i dont really need a cat. but WA law states i must have one on the car.
And these are high nickle stainless roll correction/quick steer spacers. They bolt between the control arm and strut to correct my control arm angle from going low. This restores the roll angle and fixes the gemometry in the front suspension from being lowered a lot. The arm has different holes for the TRE i can quicken the steering ratio my moving the TRE closer to the strut (ie the pivot point) this will increase over all steering angle as well. Should be good for drifting too!![]()
You can see my current control arm angle here. Ill be sure to take some after pictures. Im hoping its level or at least close to level.

Good ****, man. Love some old Volvos. I think it would look better with less stretch but to each his own. Here's mine, V8 transplant for drifting this summer.

The stretch looks like sh*t and performs like sh*t.

I'm attempting to do similar things with my 88 245 as well, yours looks amazingI have to ask though, how did you get your headlights so white and clean looking, I can't make mine look nearly as good!

I'm still in love with this thread, for many reasons. Mostly because these things handle awesome with just tires, and everyone has driven one, or known someone to drive one growing up.
(my facebook group lame plug is here - WagonBros!
How's she doing as a daily driver now? What kind of MPG are you getting with her now? Do you have to run 93 in her? Whats the widest tires a 240 wagon can handle in the rear?
