...well the price increase didn't help so much, and he's "not in a hurry to sell"

It's a great place to be. I don't need to sell it so I'm not going to give it away.
And when you put 4 new tires on the price goes up. If you don't like it because you want to get a car with $7k in parts on it in addition to he car for $5k that's ok.

Have you ever actually driven an E36 M3?... they might have been at the peak of their game in the mid 90's but a Current Toyota Sienna is faster, handles better, and has better brakes anymore... and you dont look like a hipster douche driving one.

I drove my brother's. He has a 95 m3. It was nice. Not necessarily nicer, just different.
I agree on the speed of the Toyota but the brakes and handling are very good on the m3.
My car won't sell though. I realize that. But its for sale in case someone has the cash.

  22. 03-21-2012 07:23 PM #57
Your car WOULD have sold if you would have only posted it for sale a few months earlier! I was looking everywhere for a good MK3 VR6 before I decided to get the MK6 GTI.

I'd still love to buy it as I still want an MK3 VR!

    I wish!

I've also been contemplating trying to give them the keys back so I can buy this. I don't think that would work out so well though.

    Mike,
dont get into financial trouble for my car.
Its not selling, so chances are I will still have it if you get
a chance to unload your mk6.

Let's see: Hayes wants a Mk6. Mike wants a Mk3 VR. Nope. No idea how that could work out.

Anyway to give me some figures on approximate horsepower with this setup? I might come from New Mexico to get this car, would it drive all the way back with no issues?

This car would drive to NY with no issues.
as far as HP figures go.
I have dynod this car (with the old chip and smaller turbo hotside) on a Mustang dyno and I got 262 wheel.
the stupid part was that they forced me to dyno in all wheel drive mode for the dyno because they didnt want to back my car onto the dyno. They told me it should have read about 5% higher so that would have been over 270 wheel.
It makes what it makes though. I have a dyno that says 262 wheel HP.
I have since upgraded the chip and turbo hotside.

The biggest issues this car has is the paint is going south and now the AC needs a recharge.
    otherwise its pretty nice.

Just my luck. I have 5700 but I don't have a set of 5 lug wheels. And that's just how my luck works.

If it will help with the sale I have a set of 16 inch 5 lug wheels you can have, tires I think hold air but are bald.

The brakes are 11.3" 96 and up VR6. So any 15" or bigger wheel/tire combo will work.

I have had many offers for $5500. I know money is hard to come by, so I figured I would offer another option that may put the car into reach for people that just couldnt come up with more.

This is a hell of a deal for $5700. swap is done and has been great for years. I had this setup in my surf green golf for years. I dont drive much (maybe 7k or less/year)

I just want something a bit different. Ive been in a mk3 forever.
