    1984 Porsche 944
    76k miles
    Burgundy metallic exterior
    Black pinstripe cloth seats

Located 20 miles north of NYC in Rockland, NY.

Car is in great condition and has been dead reliable for the ~7 years my Dad has owned it. Kept in the garage and only driven in the spring/summer. Folder of receipts comes with the car, mostly just basic maintenance needed. Comes with 2 sets of wheels tires, Fuchs/new tires and phone dials/decent tires.

    Here's some maintenance items:

    7/01: 48,600 miles
    Replace water pump
Replace timing, alternator, power steering belts
    Replace belt tensioner & rollers
Replace rear cam housing tri gasket

    2/02: 50,900 miles
    Replace front brakes & rotors
    Replace front hood shocks
    Replace upper / lower hoses

    8/04: 61,200 miles
    Repair intake manifold
    Replace aux fan switch

    11/04: 62,400 miles
New spark plugs / cleaned fuel injectors

    12/04: 62,400 miles
    New radiator

    2/06: 63,900
    Replace right side motor mount
    Carbon clean intake & injectors

    4/08:
    New Battery

    7/10: 68,000 miles
    New tires
    Replace all brake pads

    6/11: 73,700 miles
    Replace front struts
Replace right side tie rod unit
    Wheel alignment
    Weld center exhaust pipe hanger

    9/11:
    Replace starter

There's a few small dings in the roof from a branch falling on the car. Also a small dent in the right rear:

As a 944 owner myself, I wholly endorse this classified

Other than that dent, it's a beauty.
I love all cars, I just happen to own a few pieces of german crap at the moment.

Price drop to $3700 since there was an incident with the passenger seat. Unfortunately some coffee spilled on the seat and the cloth cracked after we tried to clean it up. It's not horrible, but there is now a rip in the seat.

This fits my requirements perfectly, quite interested. Will hopefully be in touch within the next week, a few questions though. Are there ANY issues other than the small dents and rip in seat? ANY motor and or suspension issues/noises? Would you be willing to use this as a daily if needed? How is the clutch and transmission? Thank you, Luke.

Just a few more, do all of the electronics work? (headlights/taillights, all corner markers, wipers etc.) Any warning or brake lights? And is there ANY rust?

No mechanical issues that we are aware of. No dummy lights or weird noises. If you would like to take it to the local Porsche shop for a PPI, I'm sure my Dad would have no problem meeting you there.

My Dad uses the car pretty often in the warmer months, it has never given him any problems.

Good thing about 944's is they are galvanized, no rust.

Timing belt has definitely been replaced, but let me get a list of what specifically has been done.

Gorgeous car, been looking for a 944 to take with me when I move out to California. Any interest in a trade?

Nice car, but I don't think my Dad will go for a VW trade. The sale of the 944 is funding race parts for his Corvette.

I can try to get some for you of the seat. It's my Dad's car and he/the car are about a 90 minute drive from me.

The dash is in pretty good shape, but it does have a crack which you can see here:

Still wishing you/your dad luck on this. It's tempted me a couple times, but one thing that has me holding back is that the belts and water pump haven't been done for 11 years / 28k miles, so they're basically due right away.

The last thing I'd want with a 360mi drive home is the potential for an interference engine belt snap

    That's definitely a fair point.

We've gone back and forth on if we should just do it or not, but have held off since most people like to do it under their own supervision on cars like this. The belt doesn't look bad, but if you're driving 350+ miles to get it home that's not much insurance.
