This looks pretty cool. Plus, Benjamin Linus is in it

      From Wiki:

      Plot
Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson) is a mysterious billionaire who has developed a computer program that predicts the identity of a person connected to a violent crime that will take place some time in the future. However, the program has its limitations - it cannot predict whether there will be a victim, perpetrator or a witness, and nor can it predict when or where the crime will take place. Unable to stop the crimes on his own, Finch hires Reese (Jim Caviezel), a former CIA agent who is presumed to be dead, to help stop the crimes from taking place.

According to CBS, Person of Interest received the highest test ratings of any drama pilot in 15 years, what one CBS executive called "crazy broad appeal you don't usually see." The ratings prompted CBS to move CSI, which had occupied that slot for over 10 years, to Wednesday 10/9c to make room for Person of Interest.[4]

Who's in? Starts Thursday September 22nd

Poor quote selection and punctuation. Does the show have "crazy broad appeal" as in Mommie Dearest or LiLo crazy?

Or "crazy, broad appeal" as in a wide audience?

The plot seems a bit familiar to me... are there wood balls involved? I give 4 episodes before it's full of Jackie Chan memes.

I'm looking forward to this but my one issue may be Abrams. I don't know what his obsession is with Time and Time travel but I'm not sure he knows how to create something that has a linear time-stream. I'm fine with a little time travel now and again but it seems to be a crutch for him. I'll still watch it and probably really enjoy it but just my thoughts on him.

Jim Caviezel's character is pretty bada$$. Show was better than I expected.

Yeah, it's like Eagle Eye with some Jack Bauer a$$ whuppin'. The recording at the end was cold

Thoroughly enjoyed the pilot. Ever since Frequency I've liked Caviezel as an actor and he did not disappoint with this show. I'll definitely keep watching.

The action sequences ruled. This show is pretty damn good. ...kinda like a more serious version of human target.

Yeah, the last scene was great. So I'm guessing Reese used the lye?

Not sure how Jim Caviezel talks in real life but I'm guessing Mr. Nolan had a say in Reese's tone of voice.

I'll say I like this show.. but its missing something. Maybe each episode is too self contained? It seems like this formula may get old unless they weave in more characters and more back stories.

I think they will be doing that with the files that were stolen in the 2nd or 3rd episode.

Yep, when she found Sully dead I knew we were headed for an ongoing storyline, though you could say they already had one with Carter trying to track Reese.

I do like that part of the show... funny seeing "Nick" from Cheers back on TV (anyone else old enough to remember that?)

OK, so what's the lowdown with the series' on going storyline? Was the school teacher Elias? Or the crooked cop who off'ed the Russian mob boss at the end of the episode?

I don't know... I think he is Elias, but I can't tell you...

There are a LOT of ongoing story lines in this series, and it's just getting better.

I believe Elias was the name of the case which had the evidence stolen in the episode where Reese goes undercover in that gang of bank robbers.

I am pretty sure the teacher was Elias. Reese mentioned how Elias learned about his enemies through their own children.

I am really liking this show. Hopefully they do not kill it for no good reason like they did with Jericho, yes CBS I am still bitter.

The teacher calling himself Charlie (Keith Mars) was Elias, who killed Sully (Nick Tortelli) last ep; the cop was one of his henchmen.
