That's just for normal games, hopefully they make arena available for up to 8 players. I don't see a problem with it since they are essentially getting rid of pvp in normal progression games and bringing in an arena setting. The main reason for 8 people in games was for pvp in d2.

sounds like they are starting to send out information to 'chosen ones' for downloading the beta client. the beta itself isnt actually running, but the app to access the splash screen/login page for the beta is being sent out. cool

i opted in for the beta so hopefully i will picked from the list of millions, haha. my only hope is they see my system stats and pick me because they want to test just how minimal they can get with their minimum system requirements

It's just the friends and family beta that's going on now. If you guys want a constant update of info head over to www.diablofans.com and they have pretty much everything covered it's kindof nice. I'm a little disappointed since there are no runes in the beta... So now you can't see anything about the runes and how they will work with skills

Watched a beta live screen last night. Guy got up to and beat the skeleton king in just about 2 hours (didn't watch every second but wish I could have). I'm really happy with the boss fights in d3. You are much more involved now and you actually have to do something rather than just Zerg the boss. That being said the guy was level 8 by the time he reached the skeleton king and he took him down on his sorce rather fast.

i'll admit ive watched hours and hours of live D3 streams, but i still havent seen the skeleton king. timing just never works out that way for me i guess. i'll have to dig through the recordings and see if i can find one. the speed of play does seem good though. it's nice and fluid with little downtime. i think having both the cube and the couldron are big reasons for that, no more constant trips to town because your inventory is full.

has anyone seen a stream/recording of 2-4players in a campaign? i'm curious to see how the assigned drops work. do you see ALL the drops but you can only click on the items that you're allowed to pickup? i have mixed feelings on the drop system

Yeah I watched a stream last night where 2 guys played together for the first time. It took them a few minutes to figure out that they both got drops, and couldn't even see the other persons drop.

but i already got my wiz and barb planned. the monk looked incredibly strong in the beta but that list of skills has me

i find it hard to believe a release isnt going to be within the next couple months if they already have all this d3 info moved onto their main website. but until then i will just continue to play torchlight to hold me over, heh.

Dont forget TL2 likely coming out before D3 as well, that will definitely keep me happy until D3. Everything I've seen makes it look like TL2 is a HUGE improvement over TL1.

the only thing i'm unsure of is if D3 is going back the the 'Realm' idea that D1 had. there is a split between the Blizzard websites (us.blizzard.com and eu.blizzard.com) so i wonder if they will split players too between the USA and Europe? ive heard talk of it, but havent found any confirmation.

ya, thankfully the build I had planned for my demon hunter works out perfectly and is gonna be friggin pwnage in arena. The monk had me a little like "i have no idea" the whole time I looked at his skills. Doesn't seem appealing to me anymore. Seems more like a paladin than the replacement for the assassin. Which sucks for me since the assassin was by far my favorite class, to the point where I had 4 assassins going on 1 account all different types. Oh well, hopefully they give me something to work with when they release an xpac.

So, blizz announces today that they are revamping the demon hunters whole resource system. Depending on what major change they're planning on I highly doubt that this is getting released this year now. Kindof disappointing, the demon hunter was looking to be my first class. Hopefully they don't f**k it up too much.

I have to say i'm pretty pleased with how most of the armor sets look. only a few disappointments Demon hunter doesn't look dark enough to me, and the witch doctor looks a little flimsy.

From what I heard, Opt-in invites have not been sent out yet. Proof being that I haven't seen ANYONE on r/diablo, or the D3 forums say they've gotten one yet.

log into your battle.net account and it will become downloadable IF you got in. unfortunately no general public beta invites went out today. only the press and media as long with the friends and family are allowed to play at the moment. apparently they "announced" today that the beta has started but the first wave of invites wont go out until they feel "comfortable" with the servers. IMO it's a bunch of BS but it's their game and they can do what they feel is right(even though it's not, don't say the fu(king beta has started unless you invite general pop). hopefully they get their heads outof their asses and invite some peoples ASAP, I can't imagine that their millions of dollars invested in servers just for this game has gone to waste and are going to be overloaded with a general 2,000 media and press invites and the current F&F.
