^^ true that. as much as i enjoy playing with friends, i too prefer to do some of the initial questing on my own so i'm not sitting in town waiting for others. a lot of my close friends that play are soooooooo slooooowww but if i need help on something i'll gladly call out to my friends list

There's an standard enemy that deals 170,000 points of damage on Inferno. Absolutely insane

FYI - The D3 installer is being opened up at 8:01AM PDT on May 14th so you can get it installed (and troubleshoot any install issues) prior to launch.

for some reason i was under the impression there wouldn't be any "unique" items in the game, and everything was strictly based off crafting. this post makes me happy though

Does anyone else share my opinion that since the capped level is 60 in Diablo 3 they will just scale back how fast you level?

I've seen people complaining that 60 is way to easy to get to, and that the highest level in Diablo 2 was 99. I had several level 99 characters in D2, and yes it took a long time to get them there. However, I believe 60 is just the new 99.

Crazy people thinking 1-60 in Diablo 3 will be the same as Diablo 2. Hell, I think the most levels I got in a day in Diablo 2 was 79 (with the help of rushing, and mad cow runs )



A note on Diablo 2: There was nothing worse than being over level 95, and being killed and losing experience by a damn Oblivion Knight casting Iron Maiden in Act 4. Poor barbarian died many times because of that using Whirlwind.

I doubt leveling is going to be much harder. One of the old Q&A segments someone asked how long it took them to make a new character and get it to inferno and the answer was about 2 days. Seeing as you need to be 60 to get to inferno, it doesn't take long at all. I think the only reason it's longer is because they effectively nerfed rushing.

I'm sure that leveling to 60 in D3 will be similar to leveling to 99 in D2, timewise.

late to the party, but i was in the closed beta for a few months.

pre-ordered the game a week ago. took the 15th off to play. unfortunately flying out to sowo on the 16th... but... i might find time during the trip to play. bittersweet sorta. haha.

the 100% unlock was alright. cool animated video but could have been better for 100% and all the reposts and so forth.

i havent gotten around to watching the video yet, but i did cave in and start a hc ladder assassin last night since i had some free time on my hands. i figure 1 last "hurrah" and that will probably come to a screeching halt once i get to Andariel. but if she doesn't take me out, i know Duriel will

been talking a lot with my bro about what were going to do..
i think were going to pick a main char. do the questing through normal to get through the story and cinematics of the game and fully enjoy cause we all know they will be great!

so first char im doing is barb since its my play style. get the game mechanics down a little more, get my hotkeys set up farm gear like always see the game to its fullest, followed by alternate plays with all the remaining characters. this way we can hand gear down to them.

getting closer each and every hour. i wont be able to fully enjoy 5+ hours of game play till the weekend. its going to be damn rough to stay of diablofans.com and any other diablo sites for spoilers past the King.

well there's your problem. what you should do is tell her "it's not you, it's me" and take a break for anywhere from 3months to 5 years.

i'll be starting with a Monk. appears to be a great team player and he's a bit faster-paced at melee than the barb so i gotta go with him. was going to do a sorce, excuse me wizard, but the i took more of a liking to the Monk after playing the beta. what's everyone else starting with?

I can't decide between a Wizard, Demon Hunter and Witch Doctor.

Leaning towards Wizard (Because the spells are pretty). But I never got to finish my wizard in beta.

Originally I was going to play Witch Doctor, but after looking at the Demon Hunter more... I will be playing as that. Straight up mix between the Amazon and Assassin imo.
